I'm looking forward to a lot of games here. Let's hope they live up to expectation. :xyx

There are some doozies there, enough to interest you no matter what your tastes are.

For me, PES4 and Smackdown! Vs Raw are must buys. The only game I play more than Championship Manager is Pro Evo, so I simply NEED to buy the latest version to keep my title as The Undisputed PES Champ, Who Went Through School Undefeated. SD! Vs Raw, I'll probably get it for free due to my W101 contacts, but even if I don't I'll still buy it anyway. Unlike the real promotion, WWE's games are getting better and better every year. The Smackdown! games are still too fast and arcadey for my liking, but they're still about the best wrestling games in the Western world.

I'll probably pick up GTA:SA and The Sims 2 for Christmas. I loved GTA3, as did everyone, but unlike the majority of gamers, I hated GTA: Vice City. It was 99% the same, and while GTA3 was a totally outrageous idea (A whole city for you to live your open ended life in) that was pulled off beautifully, GTA:VC set no new ground, and there's only so many times you can do the same missions over and over again, even if they do throw in a new twist every now and then. I'm excited about the 3 different cities in GTA:SA, which should make things a lot more interesting, but I still have a feeling that the game will still be so familiar that I'll get bored of it before I complete it.

As for The Sims 2, I loved the original. It was another crazy idea that shouldn't have worked, but did. It wasn't perfect, and did get a bit repetitive, but I had so much fun customising the game with different skins. Hopefully the sequel will make me just as happy as the original did.

Anyway, it's a good looking bunch of games. I'm not a huge fan of some of the genres that a lot of these games fall under, but I'll bet that there are people here who couldn't give a monkey's about PES, but would kill for Half Life. So keep playing games, who needs fitness and an active lifestyle anyway?

I only have any interest in 4 of them games. GTA: SA, RAW vs SmackDown!, Pro Evolution 4 (will it be online?) and Burnout 3.

I will be getting GTA SA on my birthday (Oct 22) and probably Pro Evo also around then. I always wait till Christmas for WWE games

Does anyone know the release date for Metal Gear Solid 3?
Anyone know when (or if) a new WWE game for the Xbox is coming out? Anything being developed??
Wolverine, MGS3 is set for a November 15th Release

Although the last Smackdown Game stank, i cant wait for this years game, everything looks superb.

Also anyone know when is WrestleMania 21 out for the XBox?

As a dedicated XBoxer I must admit the drool spilling out of my mouth at the prospect of Halo 2!!

I have got, completed and replayed (many many times) Halo, and simply cannot wait for H2.

What about Fable? When is that coming out? That game is supposed to be a bit of a peach, too.

Cheers!

Ooh how could I forget Fable... It's set for an October 15th Release.

There are some fantastic games there for all consoles, but the ones i am interested in are these PS2 games.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Another entry in the contraversial GTA series, this one will be fantastic, and it looks to move into the West Coast gang culture of the nineties which should get the papers going mad!

Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater

The first was excellent, and the second was choc full of cut-scenes. Hopefully this one will be a mix of the two, and the transition to the jungle looks to add a whole new dimension to the series

Burnout 3: Takedown

How do you improve on Burnout 2? I cant wait for this to be released, i loved the last two and i would like to see how they are improving the game.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2

They breathed new life into the Tony Hawk series with last years THUG, so i wasnt surprised to see a sequel in the works. Hopefully it will be more of the same and extra!

Prince of Persia 2

The first PS2 incarnation was amazing, a great adaptation of the original game which is one of the best platform games on the PS" in ages. The second looks like it will be darker and even more absorbing, i cant wait!

Raw vs. Smackdown

A new twist on the Smakdown games for the PS2, this games looks like it will set a new standard in console wrestling games. Smackdown was the best out there, now Raw vs Smackdown will be huge, even more so if they put it on each platform rather than the dodgy RAW2 for XBox and the even worse Wrestlemania series on GC.

SD VS RAW-26th November

I'm looking forward to:

MGS3: Looks to be drastically different from the previous two games, but from the screenshots I have seen it doesn't look like a bad thing, and I'm sure this won't dissapoint. Metal Gear Solid is easily the best PS1 game available, and I hope this will be just as good, if not better!

GTA San Andreas: The one virtually everyone with a PS2 is looking forward too, I really cannot wait for this, there seems to be endless options and exciting new features, and if this is as good as VC, then it will easily be the game of the year for me.

Killzone: This is the one I'm least certain about however, the amount of hype it has recieved has been phenomenal (OPS2 Magazine especially), so it probably will be an excellent game, but out of the three games I am most looking forward too, this will probably be the one which may leave me dissapointed.

I'm also looking forward to Jak 3 and Ratchet and Clank 3, which are scheduled for October/November releases I think.

Does anyone know the release date for Metal Gear Solid 3?

December is all i know

SD VS RAW-26th November

I was on the phone yesterday checking again and the release date is the 24th of november

Games I shall be getting are

Pro Evolution Soccer 4

Gran Turismo 4

Grand Theft Auto:San andreas

SmackDown vs RAW

Tony Hawks Underground 2

Colin McRae Rally 5

Medal of honour-Pacific Assault

and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

obviously the two must gets for me are Pro Evo 4 and SDvsRAW which of course I always get SD games from my local games shop on the day of release without fail. GT4 and Tony hawks Underground 2 are two games im also looking forward too very much. Ive not played GT3 in months but its a classic game. And from what Ive seen of GT4 its going to blow peoples mind as to what to expect from the Ps2. As for Tony Hawks Underground 2 it looks to be a very smooth sequel to what i consider the best xtreme sports game ever. I really loved the free flowing story mode of the last one, combined with some decent music and a half decent create a deck mode.

Outrun 2 on Friday, Fable week after next, Halo 2 11th November. Thats me sorted, the rest will be on my Chrimbo and birthday list, or be bought in the January sales.
I was on the phone yesterday checking again and the release date is the 24th of november

Actually 26/11 makes more sense since it's a Friday. Three days before my birthday, which is a plus. :)

Wolverine' date=' MGS3 is set for a November 15th Release[/quote']

That's the Jap/ US release. If MGS2 was anything to go by, expect to wait till early 2005, unless you import.

We're certainly into the Q3/ Christmas rush now and there's an awful lot there. The only game I'll ceratinly get on release day is SD! v Raw, but the rest I'll probably wait for, money issues depending. As usual the eagerly awaited sequels and franchises (Half Life 2 (I'll believe it when I see it), Halo2 and GTA:SA) will bury medium to small titles like POP2.

Halo 2 - 9th November. XB (later on PC)

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - 22nd October. PS2 (later on PC, XB)

Prince of Persia 2 - November. PS2, XB, PC, GC.

The Sims 2 - 17th September. PC (likely later console release)

Midnight Club 3: DUB edition - November. PS2, XB.

Raw vs. Smackdown - November. PS2.

I can't wait to get those games... Hopefully I can be one of the firsts to get it. I want to get all those games BEFORE Christmas starts because I think this year it will be the best Christmas EVER for me and my family. Well I can't tell you why... Anyway, i'm looking forward to getting more games like these awesome ones. :thumbsup
