Edge on Taboo Tuesday

Im posting this cause i saw a taboo tuesday comercial and realized that edge is on the ballet for the wwe title but why. But please dont get me wrong i would consider my self an Edge head and a big fan of the TLC matches but what has he done in the singles ranks to deserve a title shot so please someone tell me :?

When edge returned from his back injury wwe had him slated for a huge push into the main event, however fan reaction wasnt what they expected and he didnt seem to get himself over as much as the thought he would. It seems to me that there is an internal struggle in the creative team as to what to do with him as they have toyed with turning him heel regularly. Right now they seem to be stubbornly pushing ahead with his elevation and hoping he catches on (a little like they did with JBL)

If you take a look at both of their histories within the WWE then that should explain a little more :)

 

Tripps has had a far more successful carrer, is a far bigger draw than edge, and is definitely more over with the fans. Triple H is a RAW main-eventer, Edge is not.

Edge sucks, I have never liked him since he dropped the comedy gimmick with Christian.

Edge tried to act tough, but he comes off as a complete tool. Go back to what your best suited as Edge: Tagging with Christian as cowardly comedy heels.

I like Edge, and I really do hope that some day he realises his potential. Back in 2002, he had superb singles bouts/feuds with Angle and Guerrero amongst others. OK, most people would be able to have good matches with those guys, but Edge carried his share of the work in those matches as well.

 

I think it's getting to the point of critical mass now. Either he changes his image/gimmick or he won't make it as a main-eventer. He's a good wrestler who can work, but he's stale. He needs to do something, or WWE Creative need to earn their money and come up with something good for him.

 

Failing that, there's only two things in store for him - endless IC title reigns, or a reunification with Christian (and if Christian continues to be as successful as he is, then that won't ever happen).

 

Like I said, I do like Edge, and don't write him off just yet. He could yet prove a few people wrong. I for one hope he does

I wouldn't mind seeing Edge as a more gothic type character. Something sort of like he was in the brood. That could be a possibility if they can get Gangrell in wrestling shape again. Have him go to Raw and make Edge and Gangrel fued with Tomko and Christian. I really like Edge and hope they do something with him, but I do agree his gimmick is getting stale.

Im a big Edgehead. I think is ring work is great, and am not as against his gimmick as some people seem to be. I'd love for him to get at least a title shot. Then again I'd love to see RVD, Booker T and Christian get a title shot as well, so my hopes aren't high. But at least there starting to give him a push in the right direction.

yeah edge has good ring work but he needs a total change in everything he does from his entrance for gim to be a heel
