At this point it was time for new WWE Champion.

any of the 4 can win' date='but i think they'll keep the title on jbl for a bit longer.maybe till royal rumble.[/quote']

Since Kurt Angle now has the title I wonder what J.B.L. is going to do now? Plus there are rumors flying around that the next big Raw PPV is going to be an Elimnation chamber match for the vacant World title. :?

At what point did Kurt win the title? Last I heard, JBL was holding the title, taunting Taker with it.

TBH, that wouldn't surprise me.

Vince McMahon fired Teddy Long and gave the power back to Kurt Angle.Kurt then turned around and gave the power to Eric Bischoff. He is now in charge of Raw and Smackdown. He then turned around and put Kurt Angle in the title picture and took Booker T out of the equation. In the end Kurt Angle walked out the new champion. Seriously.

Exactly when was this????? And now I quote from WWE.com

ARMAGEDDON LOOMING

DEC. 9, 2004

Armageddon will be just three days away when SmackDown! comes to Greenville, South Carolina this week.

Will WWE Champion JBL and his evolving cabinet continue to dominate the program, or will Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero and Booker T finally get on the same page prior to the Fatal Four Way Match scheduled for Atlanta on Dec. 12 on ppv?

they need guererro as champ, he's the best of the 4 although Booker would be good too.. and he could come off as a mega cocky heel as he has been saying he's the best on the show so let him win and try to prove it!

okay i edited because that sounded kinda markish, i mean that they should give booker the title and have him boast about proving he's the best but in the match he should do somethig to really screw up eddie i.e. he should win off a frogsplash from eddie and then fued them making Booker running scared as champ from eddie and the rest of the locker room

I'm pretty sure that it won't be Taker winning at the PPV. His whole gimmick revolves around the fact that heels are afraid to face him. WWE, like all wrestling promotions should, have done a good job making sure that the world title(s) is/are the ultimate thing for every wrestler on the roster to aim for. Getting a title shot is a big deal to the in-character worker, even if it means they have to face someone who's meant to be feared, in terms of storylines.

If Taker wins the title, either the belt's image goes to pot or his gimmick is worthless. If we take a situation like Teddy Long punishes Heel X with a match against the Undertaker, does he act like he's happy with a title shot or scared that he has to face the Deadman? Either way, it's going to ruin the mystique of one or the other.

In many situations in wrestling, where the heel is the underdog, they tend to come out on top. I guess that JBL will retain, but perhaps drop the strap further down the line, sometime before Wrestlemania at least.

i think it is not going to be eddie or taker one because there would be no point or no build up for them, there was build up for booker t a while back when he first came to smackdown but now its all over so yeah the only person it would make sense to win is jbl as an underdog
