WWE Rumour-Elimination Chamber

There is talk in WWE of holding the WWE World Heavyweight Title up until the New Year’s Revolution PPV. They are thinking of doing a multiple-wrestler Elimination Chamber match.

The lineup for the match as it stands right now, would most likely be Triple H, Edge, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and Randy Orton. There are no plans to have Batista in it right now, however this is just the first lineup, and things could change.

An Elimination Chamber match would most likely get a massive pop from the crowd in Puerto Rico, since there has never been one there.

nor has there been one many other places either. Puerto Rico's hardly alone in that respect.

Batista would fit nicely. To be honest Raw has plenty of guys capable of being in a main event level match so it's a nice enough idea. Personally I'd have liked to see an old school style tournament as I still think Raw has the talent for that too.

I mean, there's the five guys you've mentioned, plus Batista, Snitsky, Kane when he's back, Benjamin, Maven, Christian all of whome would make a decent tournament in my opinion.

However any six of those would also make a good elimination chamber so I'm at the very least glad to see that Raw is utilising its ammount of main event level talent and not just throwing the belt up between Edge, Benoit and HHH.

If Batista does make it in there I hope it comes down to him and HHH.

I would love to see Batista act like hes going to lay down for"The Game" just to clothesline him out of his boots, then powerbomb him straight to hell and get the 1-2-3 and become the new World Heavyweight Champion. :xyx

Spinebuster, Batista bomb, cover.

That would be great, but unlikely. Hunter wouldnt do it.

Plus I would rather see big dave run with the ic title first.

The whole storyline at the moment has great potential

Elimination chamber would be the a great option but I would be up for seeing an elimination tourny, king of the ring style, like they did at survivor series '98

I'd rather have a tournament, leading up to WrestleMania personally. Drag it out and such, also means feuds could be formed within that tournament, and gives the title more prestige.

Elimination Chamber just seems like an excuse of the writers to say, we don't know what we r doing in the long term, ratings are poor, lets put all of our main stars in a big gimmick match and hope for the best.

Tournament till Mania for me, is what I'd do. And for the Rumble, if a Raw guy wins it, then say, if he don't win the tourney, he gets the first title shot, in a match of his choosing at the next PPV after Mania. Sorted.

Of course it'll never happen like that.

I agree with you muta, I'd like to see a tourney leading to Mania as well. Would give the writers some scope for feuds as well as giving some of the "lesser" stars an outing and could involve the whole Raw roster.

The tournament idea sounds like a good one. It's been ages in the WWE since a really good tourney. You could have some great matches and great excitement in it with it peaking at Mania.

You've then got the problem though of the Royal Rumble and why would Raw superstars enter it if the title is being decided at WrestleMania in a tournament?

Of course Hunter wouldn't do it, why should he? Big Dave, as good and as imposing as he is; is still learning. He's not ready for the World Heavyweight Championship damnit he hasn't even had an intercontinental title run yet...

The tournaments idea is fantastic, with a King Of the King style setup! I don't know why they ever abolished that PPV, right now it could and would have been inter-brand, something of greatness.

But it cannot be held at Wrestlemania --- over a series of RAWS maybe but save the semi-final and the final until the New Year PPV. That would be better than another Elimination Chamber IMO. There's plenty of time for those...

And Wrestlemania... that should be the regular classic 1on1 match. Triple-Threat last year, ok I was annoyed but a decent match was pulled of. Either way, Wrestlemania makes for a great watch, but the tournament should not be held there, the Royal Rumble should determine the match for Mania, as it always does.
