John Cena is the obvious one on Smackdown, They've pretty much been grooming him for a very long time now, Even though he's nothing special in the ring the crowd loves him and he's got himself a pretty good charecter now...So it's only a matter of time now really before they make him the WWE Champ. I can't see anybody else on Smackdown really making a name for themselves who isn't already an established star, Although if they continue to push Charlie Haas he could well go far.

On Raw Edge will no doubt hold World Championship gold sometime this year also, To be honest I think he's ready for it, So they might aswell give Edge a go. Shelton Benjamin is perhaps a long shot as he's not paticularly charismatic, Perhaps if he brought a little more intensity to his charecter then maybe, Either way he'll be a solid upper midcard wrestler. Christian could also have a great year if they use him properly.

I voted for Dave Batista. Simply because of all of the stars on the list, Dave is the biggest and has "THE LOOK."

We all know that Vince is fond of big men and I stand by that. So I expect to see Batista making a big name for himself in 2005. I dont see World Heavyweight Champion, but I see a decent wrestler and a Batista draw starting to occur.

He may become the champ, you never know. Good thing if it works out as it will help the company. But obviously he needs to hone his skills first. Him and Randy Orton are still learning.

As for John Cena... the inevitable championship win will happen, I just dread the thought of it. He sells merchandise, that's it, and maybe that's all that is needed in Vince's mind. Who knows? Maybe in a few years I'd say great, even a couple, but I'd rather it be later rather than sooner.

And Booker T and Jericho still have something to prove. They have careers ahead of them and if the WWE use them correctly they can both be major league players...

cena will be for smackdown for sure.but over all i think this will be the year of batista.he has improved a whole lot and is actually getting face chants.
I think Batista is really gonna shine. I think his feud with HHH is gonna be awsome, I don't think he'll be the face in that feud however.
I think it will be batista, they are pushing him and i wud like to see someone else get to the top. Also, Batista will impress in the elimination chamber IMO so it will only be a matter of time until we see Batista with the title.
John Cena is looking more and more like he could step up to the main event each time i see him! Batista is looking good too.
Batista just over Cena me thinks. But let's not rule out Tyson Tomko.
FUNAKI
I've said it before and I'll say it again - John Cena is Vince McMahon's next private jet. No one else even comes close to screaming "money" like the Doc does.

Batista will become World Heavyweight Champion at NYR or he will win the Royal Rumble and win the title at Mania.

sorry but i can't see batista coming close to wining the world title as of right now.he still has a bit more improving to do.he's good but not at that type of level yet.

on draven's pick, that is true.look at what cena did the past 2 months.flying from australia one day and going back right after his match.with that done when he gets back he wants to push cena more.

theres a few there we might be coming to the end of era where guys like hhh and stuff dont dominate much

i think shelton benjamin will improve heaps but batista will become a real dominating force which he should have come like a year ago

I feel Christian will strike out this year, if not winning the title, then getting a few shots at it.

WWE wise the Doctor of Thuganomics has to be the next big star. I personally dont mind him despite him coming under a lot of critiscism ( i know I cannot spell). Cena is a solid worker and he's certainly a country mile more talented than Blackjack Bradshaw

TNA wise theres 3 men who I feel will go main event in 05 and stay there. 1 being the Wildcat Chris Harris, hes easily one of the most talented workers in TNA. The second being The Future Chris Sabin, who's achievements in TNA may even beat those of AJ Styles believe it or not. And finally the man I personally liked from the first match i saw him in back in February, Hector Garza, he guy is superb and theres nothing to hold him back now

i think edge is going to shine, he looks like the next new champion

On Raw I think its the year of Batisita, Orton and Edge. Why? Because they all have the look, connections and size to get what they want in the WWE... I feel at the mo that the only one with sufficent talent to merit it though is Edge...

On Smackdown its gonna be Cena's year, they booked him to squash Jesus and flatten Carlito and be almost super human. He is soild in ring and big enough and has the gimmick that all the kids like. Thing is, well he needs a bloody proper finisher cause the F-U at the moment is dire. The one on Jesus sucked big ones.

As for NWA, I've gotta agree with Fletch, its gonna be the year hopefully that Monty, Harris and Sabin become the big dogs. Sabin is the best X-Divison wrestler at the moment and I have always been impressed with him. Monty is fun, soild, big and gets the fans behind him... POOOUNNNCCEE....

As for Harris, I think all TNA fans reckon his push stalling was stupid booking by Jarrett and that a vicious, bad ass type heel turn is the best foot forward.

Harris is crucial to the future of TNA, as much so as Styles. He's definitely future World Champion. To be honest if they worked the AMW split well then he's right now World Champion, as opposed to future World Champion.

Sabin really showed this year that he's not some over rated spot monkey like a lot of X guys. His match with Williams at Turning Point was out of this world, every move had a purpose and place in the match and the psychology throughout was excellent.

As for Garza, and there being nothing holding him back how about these things.....

1. He speaks no English

2. He doesn't have the size or look to be a realistic World Champion for a US promotion

3. His in ring style clashes with most of the people he works against in TNA

Other than that he'll do just fine. I think he is hugely talented and will be an excellent part of the roster but I don't see 2005 being his year anymore than 2004 was. I don't see they can get him going much further than he has already really.

For me it's all about Harris, Monty, Sabin and Killings next year. Styles is great but I don't see where they can go with him that they've not done before. He'll be solid main event level TNA material but I don't see him breaking out anything we've not already seen from him. Much like Benoit from year to year, he just sorta keeps going with his excellent work without doing anythin different to the year before.

This is going to be Cena's year without a doubt. JBL has crushed all other faces of note on Raw and I'm beginning to suspect that he may be dropping the title to Cena at Wrestlemania.

On Raw.... things are looking good for Batista and I think that out of everyone on the roster he has the best kind of look to succeed, but I still can't imagine him winning the world title within the next 12 months. I think Orton will instead be consolidated at the top of the card and will fued with HHH and Edge. I'm dearly hoping for Christian, and I think he could have a great fued with anybody, but he seems tome to be just too small to be anything other than another Chris Jericho-esque jobber to the stars in Vinces mind.

i hope to see shelton benjamin get pushed higher i ove watching his ability in the ring he just needs some backstage promotion and some time with the mic before he comes out of his shell

hopefully the year of shelton benjamin!!!!!!!!!!! 2005
