GBA SP - Was I right to order it?

I'm bored waiting for Christmas and the excitement is just too much so I've had to get the store cards out and spend to calm myself down. I've just ordered a Game Boy Advanced SP, and a couple of games. Was this a good idea? Anyone got one and think it's great/crap? Any ideas on games that would be useful for me to get involved with? I ordered Sonic Advance 3, Sim City 2000 and Pokemon Sapphire (largely because they were about all that was in stock, every other game I tried to get wasn't).

So, have I made a good move? I'm so out of touch with the video games console world that this thing could be a pile of turd and I wouldn't realise but it looked like a fun little thing, and it came in pink so I thought it looked kinda cute.

Yeah the Sonic and Mario advance series are worth the price alone, as well as the NES classics and Megadrive/Snes conversions. Then you have the obvious new Ninty games like Zelda the Minish cap (shorter then Link to the past but still great) and things like the Golden Sun series. And I could go on about things like Boktai with the ingenius use of light interaction in the game.....so many positives, a great purchase Mr Jayden.

Ok in addition to the games that were coming with it I've just been out and bought the Sims - Bustin Out, and Max Payne and Onimusha Tactics (both of which were a bargain £9.99 each.

I can't play them until tomorrow when my lovely pink GB Advance SP thing comes but it's got me all excited. Anyone played any of these three games? Any good?

The SP's great, though with the market as it is right now, I would've waited and got a DS, or imported one, they play GBA games too. Still, you absolutely positively have to get Warioware and either Advance Wars. You can get Fire Pro Wrestling on the GBA dead cheap now, which is a must have as it's a version of the best wrestling game series ever. If you're fluent in Japanese, get a Jap copy of Fire Pro 2- it's got a booking mode, and all sorts of craziness. The English language US version of FPW2 is good, but has a lot of Japanese features taken out for some reason.

GBA Max Payne's good fun, but don't expect it to last more than about 4-5 hours from start to finish- it's a pinch on the short side.

Fire Pro is a whole lot better in my opinion than Survivor Series. I now have Advance Wars 2 Black Hole Rising and am loving Pokemon Sapphire and Onimusha Tactics at the moment. It's been a great little purchase so far.

The Pokemon games went downhill after the original Red, Blue and Yellow set

Theres the two new games with new pokemon which i have but dont like, and then theyve rereleased the old original games under new names for the GBA, fire red and leaf green i believe which are the best choice if you ask me. Cannot beat Squirtle, the greatest pokemon known to man

i don't see a point in getting the sp no more.with about 60-70$ extra bucks you can get the brand new nintendo ds which plays gameboy advanced games and sp games.

I play GBA games on my emulator since Im a cheapskate and I'd rather buy games etc for my Gamecube firstly

but wrestling wise nothing beats WWE Survivor Series to be honest, im just upset theres no GBA A-Train on it

SS is severely duff, I feel- it's exactly the same as the slightly iffy Road to Wrestlemania X8, but without the ace shopzone bit, making it worse. Wrestling wise, Fire Pro is untouchable.
