The Gamecube is great if you like silly games. Also Resident Evil has some great titles as well on the'Cube. I own one myself and I love the gameplay and the graphics are superb. The contrlolers are alittle funny though. Way to ergonomical.

Go get one...s'good!

I got myself one not too long ago second hand from my cousin with 4 games. Worthwhile for a lot of games. Donkey konga is hilariously good fun and WWE Day Of Reckoning for my money is the best WWE game ever bar No Mercy

Ok BRM has just inspired me to get myself one, just bought one on ebay with the whole Donkey Konga thing. I was sat here at work bored and wanting to spend money and seeing as I've been loving my GBA SP so much since buying it (Advance Wars 2 and Onimusha Tactis own) I thought I'd get involved. Just ordered F1 career challenge off there too.

Any other suggestions for games I should get?

Day of Reckoning honestly Jay its brilliant

Resident Evil -the original and the best. Amazing remake

Metroid

Paper Mario

Resident Evil 4 should be out soon if you like killing zombies...I know I do! :D

Also any Star wars game on the 'Cube is usually a good buy.

You really can't go wrong with those games there, Rogue Squadron is hard but it's a really good Star Wars game. Mario Sunshine is a good game as well, not on the same level as Mario 64 maybe but it's still a good game, wouldn't expect anything less from Nintendo really. Also if you like the RPG type of game you can't go wrong with Zelda: The Wind Waker, alot of people don't like the graphic style of it but it's a damn good game, well worth the money.

Pretty much all of nintendo's first party titles guarantee a good time, Ikaruga is a rock hard shooter, if you like that kinda thing. Monkey Ball 1 and 2 are ace too. I get most multi format titles for my gamecube, It definitely has quicker loading times than the PS2.

I find that the Gamecube is extraordinarily under-rated by 90% of the population. I can't think of a day I haven't played mine since I got it over a year and a half ago (bar days that I didn't have access to it), and every time I do play it I have fun. I have Paper Mario 2, DoR, Simpsons Hit & Run, FIFA 2005, Mario Kart: Double Dash, PokÊmon Colosseum and Super Smash Bros. Melee, and all of them have entertained me at some point.

I would seriously suggest getting one, even a new one. They're cheaper than X-Boxes and PS2s for a start, and I find them to be better machines too.

i'd echo C2k's sentiments, my mrs' bro has one and he thinks its great, I have a mate that has one as well. I have always been tempted to get one as the games look good and the platform is cheaper than the big two. Time shall tell after uni as to what console i do get!
i got a platinum GC a while back and its great!!!
the gamecube is a great machine but i just own one for the zelda series on the gamecube.that's the only games i play on it.
Well, Twin Snakes isn't as good as the original (terrible cinematics) but a GC is a good purchase, get hold of DOR, F Zero X, Warioware, Animal Crossing and Viewtiful Joe.

Resi 4 ain't got zombies Bub, just crazy villagers and monsters. :P

Harvest Moon is the one game I would recommend for the 'Cube.

And I usually prefer games along the Max Payne route.

And, IMO, no wrestling game can compare with No Mercy. I bought a second hand N64 and No Mercy, Perfect Dark and Goldeneye for ÂŖ25 at a jumble sale 4 months ago.

No Mercy should be the blueprint they work from from for all WWE games IMO.

Edited by DC

I picked No Mercy up for $5 at a video store and it's far better than Wrestlemania 2000 for N64.

As far as Gamecube games Day of Reckoning is the best wrestling one (I also have WM X8, XIX). The other games I have are Simpsons Road Rage (very fun), Lord of the Rings Two Towers, Desert Storm, Madden 2004,Pokemon Colliseum (GBA series of pokemon is far better), NCAA Football 2004, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I saw some stuff on the new WM21 game for XBOX. WOW!

Some off the stuff, if they pull it off will be amazing.

Total motion capture, meaning if HHH puts the Pedigree on Rey Jr. the animation will differ from the rest of the roster. Ditto for every guy/gal on the (game) roster.

That should make it more believable anyway.

Anyone wanting to read about it should check out this months Gamesmaster mag.

harvest moon or animal crossing? i'm unsure as i generally like more hard boiled games.. although i do have all the mario GC games except the party and tennis games and the original smash brothers as i bought the sequal

After beinga huge fan of he old N64, I purchased my GameCube on the first day of release in the UK a few years back. I was quite pleased with the console as a whole, obvisouly at first the range of games wasn't very good, but since then it has improve greatly. But I got fed up of my Gamecube a few months ago and sold it.

It is a great console though, and any owner must get the Legend of Zelda games, they are fantastic, I loved Zelda: The Wind Waker, and believe they is another title coming out soon, if not already.

I'm like you there Taj, I love Max Payne 1&2 and other violent/action games such as GTA, GhostHunter,Manhunt and Resi Evil style Survival horror, but I just fell in love with Harvest Moon.

Another great game, that is played mostly at a sedate pace but is f'n amazing is Beyond Good & Evil by Ubisoft. If you can track this game down, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee.
