Hey Gang!

Just wondering, after the last invasion of WCW/ECW into WWF/E programming, do you think it is time for SmackDown to invade Raw or vice versa?

Michael Cole could be kidnapped by Snitsky and Tazz would have to defend "Girl Pants" etc.... Or Batista could interfere in another Taker match.... or JR could get attacked by Heidentripe, or JBL could be forced to face H3, because he can't get his hands on the Raw Title?

Just wondering, what would your storylines consist of?

Luther Reigns Vs Batista, Snitsky Vs Heidentripe, Orton Vs Cena?

Whatever?

Yeah i think it would make a good ppv smackdown v raw ,champions v champions we could get bk the undistputed champion instead of having 2 tv show champions and the invasion storyline would go on for ages, it could start off with bishoff invadeing smackdown for some reason and then teddy long ordering retaliation, dont know though smackdowns hardly got anything raw would want, the invasion would be better if sd started it, raws got more smackdown could do with talent etc.. They could have a lunatic match between heidreinriech and snitsky ( lol ), or an idiot match between hassan and carlito (lol) . The invasion idea sounds like it could happen in the future sometime but it would need a lot of build up, hype and good storylines to make it work not like some of these rush jobs that are happening now.

what? what? what?

Have TNA invade RAW

Triple H vs Jarrett

Who will do the J-O-B?

I think if WWE ever decide to end the roster split, this is how it should be done. It won't happen, because WWE have increased the amount of PPVs that they have to offer, and it's not quite as strenuous a schedule as it used to be. But if they end it in some kind of cross brand war, I think it could go a long way toward bringing back a lot of casual fans. WWE would probably mess it up, WCW/ECW style, but everyone knows that some of the most memorable, for reasons good or bad, angles over the past few decades have involved similar invasions.

yep.Have Smackdown feud with Raw and throw members of TNA in there.

That way you would have a Raw vs.Smackdown vs.TNA PPV's. It doesnt even have to be a long winded storyline. It can be just for a couple of months.Every show would be affected. And it would be an ongoing storyline that covers all three shows. I would love to see HHH vs.Jarrett. I think that would be a great new invasion angle. :thumbsup

Will the egos of these two guys both fit into one arena???? :lol

Of course Jarrett would job to HHH, cause in WWE's term's Jarrett draws about as well as Christian would. Remember TNA is a country mile behind in terms of popularity to WWE, thus it would be a very pointless feud.

It depends.Jarrett has been around this sport a very, very long time.He has been a World champion and won many titles throughout his career in many different federations.Thats more than Christian and HHH has ever done in their careers.

Now if Jarrett was indeed given a chance to battle HHH this match would truly be a great one. Why? Because.Everything that HHH can do Jarrett can do.HHH loves the sledgehammer.Jarrett loves the Guitar.HHH has cronies to help him win matches.Jarrett has cronies to help him win matches.

Why should Jarrett have to job to HHH for? Back then J.J. was an IC champion and indeed helped carry the WWE back during the attitude days.HHH wasnt nowhere in sight of the spotlight yet.Back then Jarrett was getting shots at the title when Kevin Nash was still in prime wrestling shape.By the time HHH fought him he was shell of his former self.

Overall bringing in a rival group to battle the WWE again would be great. The original invasion bar none was the best storyline ever in the WWE history. The array of talent that was showcased during that time was awesome.

I mean lets face it the WWE cant win them all.And why should they? Thats unrealistic. But then again this is Pro Wrestling. The WWE is in the entertainment business. The wrestling part of it is the part thats starting to smell like a two day old diaper. I'm all for bringing back an invasion storyline.Indeed.

OMG... ARE U OUTTA UR MIND.

Jeff Jarret winning OVER HHH

HAHAHAHAHAAH

That's gotta be a joke.

Jeff Jarret isn't more than a mid-card wrestler.

That's what he was in the WWE.

Now he's god on TNA, bot pleasee who buys Jeff Jarret as a World HeavyWeight Champion on WWE.PUHHHH LISSSS

HAHAHAHAH

Another wwe thread turning into a chat about TNA OMG not again

But Jarrett wouldn't beat HHH. Ever. I'm comparing him to Christian in terms of drawing power. More people see Christian each week than Jarrett, but Jarrett headlines TNA, so they are about the same level. TNA is miles behind WWE.

What the hell does fighting Kevin Nash have to do anything? Jarrett was born in 67, Triple H was born a few years later, so its unlikely they'd face him at the same time. HHH has made tons more money than Jarrett, and Jarrett isn't even in the same drawing league now, or then.

The original invasion storyline was the biggest disappointment in wrestling history. For every opportunity they had, they blew them all. For a TNA v WWE war to happen now, would be pointless, because TNA while the number 2 promotion are small time in comparison. It would be like Chelsea v Bristol City.

I don't think you quite get the idea of drawing power, and believability in terms of wrestling positions.

The Franchise is right! The invasion angle was easily one of the best despite what peeps say. Actually I have a Q for all u peeps who say it sucked - why???

Raw VS Smackdown would suck of course unless Vince changed the writers. Maybe Kane would get married to Big Show or something.

It was the potential to be the biggest wrestling feud of all time. Instead of waiting until they could pick up the desired WCW big names like Hogan, Flair, Nash, Hall, Steiner, Bischoff and Goldberg, all who appeared in WWE after the invasion, they tried to do it too early, leaving them with next to no recognisable WCW main eventers. DDP and Booker T were about the only guys that really could have been bought as main event talent during the invasion, so to make up the rest of the numbers, guys like RVD, Rhyno, Test, Bubba and D-Von were used to represent the promotion, despite never working for them (Unless they had a short, unnoticable period in WCW, I'm too lazy to check but I'm sure they all never worked for Ted Turner. Oh, except RVD, who was Robbie V for a short time). Then there was all the crap with Austin and Angle turning on WWE, which was a big mistake because both of these guys were bigger names than anyone else in WCW, and totally overshadowed them. Then there was the end of the feud. WWE had a chance to make a big new superstar. Whoever kills WCW is instantly a main eventer. Who was chosen to kill off the promotion? The Rock, argueable WWE's biggest name at the time. What a waste.

Instead of making millions upon millions of dollars from easily the most exciting prospect in the history of wrestling, which encompases decades of hot feuds and business opportunities, it turned into Austin Vs The Rock: Part 400. No new superstars were made, plenty of careers were ruined, Vince's ego recieved it's biggest boost and plenty of wrestling fans turned off WWE TV. For good.

How many titles has HHH held outside of the WWE? 0

How many titles has Jeff Jarrett held outside of the WWE? Tons.

Who has been involved in wrestling longer HHH or Jeff? Jeff.

But yet you think he couldnt beat HHH if they actually"Allowed" them to wrestle a match? Yeah right.

Of course The WWE wouldnt let HHH lose to Jeff Jarrett. But for those thats followed Jeff Jarrett's career knows for a fact that he can outwrestle HHH any day of the week on any given night.

Not to mention hes just as devious as HHH in all aspects. Just because the WWE chose not to use Jerrett for something bigger doesnt mean that he is below HHH.Let me ask you thing jungmuta. How long have you been following Jeff Jarrett's career? Enlighten me. :?

Plus how in the blue hell can you call the Invasion storyline a disappointment? Look at how much talent both Smackdown and Raw had during that time. Not to mention at one time you had plenty of titles to go around:U.S. title,WCW Cruiserweight title,WCW Title, and the WCW Tag Team titles to go along with the Hardcore title, the IC title, the WWE Cruiserweight title, the Women's title, the WWE tag title, and the WWE title.

The ratings were at its highest during that time. And not to mention that was during the time HHH was out with his quad injury. That indeed was the best time without HHH being around. This is probably why we are being punished havign to be force fed everything he say and do.

Because nobody missed his sorry ass during the Invasion.Oh well if I could do it again I would in a heartbeat. Not having him on the show was the best thing that could've happened to the WWE at that time.

But jungmuta you call that storyline a disappointment? LOL! I guess you thought the McMahon/Helmsley regime was better huh? Yeah right! Another Invasion storyline is needed the way the WWE is going these days.

The Invasion was the best storyline ever.

What does holding titles have to do with anything?

I'm talking about how much drawing power they have on a mass scale, and Jarrett isn't even in the same league as HHH. Also what does being involved in wrestling have to do with that? Does that mean a feud between Brooklyn Brawler and HHH would draw tonnes, cause Brawler has been around for years?

HHH has had much more better matches than Jarrett, but again thats irrelevant, as wrestling ability has never had much to do with drawing power, heck look at Hogan, Warrior, etc

I've followed Jarrett's career since he began down in CWA in the late 80's, but again what the hell does that have to do with, how well a feud would go with HHH? He's below HHH in terms of marketability and popularity. Triple H has drawn much more than Jarrett, and is far more popular, and well known.

The invasion storyline was completely blown. How many new stars were made? Not many. Of all these great new talents they got, how many were used right? Barely any.

Plenty of titles to go round means absolutely nothing. Ratings were actually higher in 2000 when they hadn't bought WCW, than what they were in 2001 at the height of the invasion angle.

The invasion was a gigantic disappointment. It was something which could have been so much more, lasted years, built so many stars, and had all these dream matches. Instead it was an incredibly one sided, lack lustred war, in which WCW/ECW main stars, were mainly just WWE guys who'd turned heel. No main WCW stars were really present, to go against the WWE stars. And apart from 1 PPV, the WCW ECW guys were basically trounced, and this possible feud was over with 5 months.

McMahon/Helmsley regime wasn't much better, if at all, but neither was the invasion angle, I can think of hundreds of angles better, and if you honestly think it was the greatest angle ever, you clearly know very little about quality wrestling and angles, and I'm sure the majority of wrestling fans, would agree with me.

Yeah rigghhhtt. :roll HHH has had better matches than Jeff Jarrett? In your eyes maybe. Not mine.
That doesn't matter. What does matter is a feud between WWE kingpin HHH and NWA-TNA kingpin Jarrett would not draw, because TNA has about as much mainstream drawing power as say Christian does at the moment, thus it would bomb, because the majority of the casual audience have no idea who NWA-TNA are, and prolly forget about Jeff Jarrett years ago.

The same was said about ECW back in the day.And guess what? They ended up on Raw telecasts.Imagine that. Any storyline can work if its done right.A feud between HHH and Jarrett indeed could be very interesting if the stakes in their little tiff was raised very high.Plus just like the 1st Invasion storyline people from both camps would be jumping ship every minute to every second.

Some dont know what NWA-TNA is.But at one point in time nobody knew much about ECW either. So whose to say lightning wont strike twice? Dont underestimate NWA-TNA chances of hooking up with the WWE somewhere down the line.

Maybe Jarrett's superior wrestling background over HHH's doesnt mean anything to you but it means a bunch to me. I would love to see that match happen. :wub

Jarrett vs Trippers

Someone get me something to wipe my drool

<Hands Fletch a pillowcase........I'm using the pillow to sleep on :P >

HHH has faced Jarrett before at Capital Carnage 98, tripper won by pin. The only way TNA could get over is by pure shock factor, of them having a go. Having singles matches between WWE and TNA stars would go over lousy, because 3/4 of WWE fans, would have no idea who most TNA guys are, thus wouldn't care about them.

And if people from TNA and WWE just keep jumping ship, then it surely defeats the object of the two companies feuding?

And ECW at the time weren't doing PPV, and were merely a very popular underground company, thus they weren't main competition. TNA do PPV, thus are competition, despite the fact they are miles behind.

TNA's chances of hooking up with WWE are very very unlikely
