To the point where not only are wrestlers' signature moves called wrongly (not by their given name - try watching an Edge match called by JR) but also standard moves are. (Michael Cole has got much better in this dept BTW,so he's safe!)

Jonathan Coachman - I could agree with keeping the announcing and magazine columnist jobs but he should never set foot in the ring again!

Lilian Garcia - meh

Rob Conway - see below

Sylvain Grenier - I know these two are the Tag Team champs and I hesitated to put them on the list, but I am just not a fan.

The coach = The voice of the heels.

Lilian Garcia = Pretty to look at and is great at live shows.

Dawn Marie and the diva search girls = Their segments are light hearted and nothing to be taken seriously, also they are great to look at.

As Funaki is now, IMO he's a joke as an announcer, and an average cruiserweight wrestler. I'd rather see Kidman, London, Rey, Akio, Tajiri or even Nunzio pushed instead.

Come on admit it.. you need a little "fun" with the Divas there undressing for u in front of ur TV sets? :P lol

 

And as for Daniel Puder... like it or not, he may be a bad Superstar from what we've seen after his TE Contest, but now he's like Christy Hemme... she can't get fired for ages, either since they WON, not GIVEN a WWE Contract. So probably if they murdered somebody (lol whatever) they would probably still have a WWE Contract... just think of Linda Miles/Shaniqua Tough Enough 2 Champion (Jackie Gayda, Miss. Jackie was another one, but she's still in WWE) because Shaniqua was known to have a bad attitude and if she was GIVEN a WWE Contract she would have been fired RIGHT AWAY with her bad attitude as she was also sent back to OVW... and she kept The Basham Brothers down.. she made them some sort of "low Tag Team" when they were great Superstars and had won the Heavyweight Titles in other Company's, before they came to the WWE...

 

And, as for Funaki, "SmackDown! #1 Announcer", I think he needs to stop talking like Tajiri don't talk, get more powerful moves like The Tarantula etc.. he should act like Tajiri, silent but deadly. :xyx

First off most of the list you had was fine with me. Except two. Good ole JR and Lillian Garcia.

 

I've been watching Jim Ross since 1987. When he used to do commentary on a wrestling show called the UWF. Ever since then I've followed his career from there to the NWA/WCW to the WWF/WWE. He is truly one of the broadcasting legends in the business. Hes seen it all and knows it all. Its not JR's fault that he has to hold back what he really wants to say or has to hold back what he really thinks about things. Its all Vince's doing.

 

Most of the time I hear JR slip here and there when talking about certain moves or talking about the background of a particular wrestler. I think its good to have someone behind the podium that does talk about whats"real" sometimes. If there is anyone that needs to go its Jerry Lawler. I mean he cant really wrestle anymore,and he always rides the sack of every heel that steps in the ring. You basically can put anyone next to JR and you'll have a good show. I say put Stone Cold or The Rock as a wrestling commentator next to JR then you would have some great entertainment.

 

Plus JR just suffered a stroke about two years ago. He was bound to lose a step or two. But wrestling needs JR at the announcers table. I think its a shame that the WWE puts him in the worst positions over the years. I mean you never seen Joey Styles from ECW or Tony Schivonie from the NWA/WCW getting their ass kicked inside the ring for no reason. You never seen David Crockett or Gordon Solie inside the ring trading blows with somebody. Why should somebody like JR has to go through this? Its totally disrespectful.

 

And as far as Lillian Garcia goes whats up with that? Shes nice on the eyes to look at and shes one hell of an announcer. Plus shes like one of the guys around the WWE. She jokes with the guys and even drinks beer with them. You rather have Howard Finkel back? Thanks, but no thanks. Keep Lillian Garcia and keep good ole JR. Everybody else on your list? Send them packing brother!!!

Yay! I was hoping you'd throw your oar in, Franchy. Surprised you agree with so much, actually.

My point with JR is that you are damn right he's a legend, but I feel his continual errors and stumbles are tarnishing that a little now. He's a hugely valuable asset to the WWE, but not necessarily in the commentator's role.

 

I am a die hard RAW fan, but I feel Tazz and Michael Cole are now better on the commentary stakes at present than JR and King.

Stone Cold by his side is a ruddy fantastic idea (Stone Cold behind the announcer's table sure worked for Celebrity Deathmatch!).

That would shift some of the focus away and he wouldn't have to go ten to the dozen and slip up. Maybe King should go then...?

 

Lilian Garcia. Well if y'all like her, we'll keep her. I have no specific objections to her as such, she's just, well...meh. I don't think she's all that and I hate her singing but I don't mind giving in on this one. :)
