July 5, 200519 yr If it's any good I might have to try and get my PS2 fixed or even get a new one. Hopefully there will be a WWE game for the PSP soon. With the 2006 it seems they are going to turn the SmackDown franchise into a FIFA kind of thing, which I have feared with the recent yearly doesage. Edited July 5, 200519 yr by Slim Jim
July 5, 200519 yr see also. http://www.thq.co.uk/pages/article?ArtIndex=350&NewsIndex=350;349;344;343;342;341;340;339;338;337;33
July 5, 200519 yr In the spirit of Live8 and The Who, I won't get fooled again (Daaaaa, da da...Daaaaa). Too many times THQ have come out and said "We realised that last year's game could have been a lot better, so we went onto a lot of webpages and gathered lots of fan feedback. Now we have a huge list of things to change about the game, and it'll be totally different!". Usually the only changes that take place are updating the roster to half a year before the game's release, changing the storylines in season mode and removing a match type. I'd love to believe this will be a better game than SD! Vs Raw, but if I've learned anything in life, it's that I won't be playing a wrestling game again 3 months after I buy it.
July 5, 200519 yr Wow finally!!!!!! :D and the Casket Match is back!!!!! http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/631/631085/wwe-smackdown-vs-raw-2006-20050704005213418.jpg I seen I think I seen Buried Alive said on IGN, too! :D!!!
July 5, 200519 yr Unfortunately it looks like they are combining the casket and buried alive matches. in essence, if i read it correctly, it looks like you have to put your opponent into the casket and then bury them. seems a bit pointless, but it should be good for a laugh
July 5, 200519 yr I don't see why they can't just give us a regular casket match or a buried alive match or both. But why combined?!? And why no tag team buried alive match?!? They've had one of them in real life. And no mention of King of the Ring mode or I quit matches.
July 5, 200519 yr why would they have a KOTR mode wouldn't be much point. I do want I quit though & 8 man survivour matches.
July 5, 200519 yr Looks like a great game and will certainly be worth the buy but the game title is poor and not much thought was put into that one. Edited July 5, 200519 yr by Kanenite
July 5, 200519 yr why would they have a KOTR mode wouldn't be much point. I do want I quit though & 8 man survivour matches. A good old fashioned tournament never hurt anyone Looks like a great game and will certainly be worth the buy but the game is poor and not much thought was put into that one. You kind of contradicted yourself
July 5, 200519 yr SD v R will benefit from a slower pace, and the momentum system, but for right now, colour me sceptical. Far more excited about Fire Pro R (out next month, Japanese curio fans!)
July 5, 200519 yr A good old fashioned tournament never hurt anyone You kind of contradicted yourself I kind of missed a word out, oppsies my fault.
July 6, 200519 yr Yeah but the real WWE don't have KOTR Slimjim so I see no point in the game one doing so. A tourney mode not called KOTR on the other hand I would like.
July 6, 200519 yr i think the option to jump from show to show should be brought back, or at least a draft period. and the season should be more than 9 months. in fact, the season should consist of a couple of years and incorporate a new draft midway through
July 6, 200519 yr Yes, but Smackdown 2's Season mode got repetitive after the first couple of years. Although I would like to see a season mode like Evil Monkey said. Also I don't think there has ever been a season mode that hasn't had an all original storyline. But the Buried Alive match is a great mode, that I thought about, but wasn't bothered to e-mail THQ about, and it looks like I thought it should be.
July 6, 200519 yr I'll probably buy it even though I normally get bored of the SD games fairly quickly
July 6, 200519 yr Also they should have a Lita on a pole match. She would love that. Anyway, if the momentum and stamina features look good. If both work well, it will improve the game a lot. The game has felt unrealistic for all the others really. Sure the gameplay has been good, but they have all lacked a lot of realism.
