Posted July 19, 200519 yr Courtesy of: http://www.prowrestling.com/news.php?id=14473/articles/news Earl Hebner was fired by WWE Monday after allegedly selling merchandise without authorization. Dave Hebner has NOT been fired although he has apparently been disciplined for being a part of the act. Hebner had refereed most main events on PPV for the past decade. More as we get it. Wow, I can't believe this.
July 19, 200519 yr I read this earlier and was shocked. I thought Earl was a guy in wwe who would never be fired. He has been there a long long time. I would love to read a book if he had one, i bet he has a lot of stories from his years in the WWE. So Long Earl
July 19, 200519 yr I think they will bring him back though...I mean selling merchandise- like people would really have been snapping up those earl shirts.
July 19, 200519 yr I think they mean selling WWE merchandise and pocketing ther money himself though to me this story looks like being crap.
July 19, 200519 yr I think they mean selling WWE merchandise and pocketing ther money himself though to me this story looks like being crap. The WWE website has no mention of it and i think if they had sacked someones whose been there as long as Earl they would have acknowledged it. But still............. You screwed Bret, You screwed Bret, You screwed Bret, HIT THE ROAD OLD MAN.
July 19, 200519 yr Even if he has been sacked (we shall see) they could still whack Dave Hebner in the ring, no-one would notice!

You screwed Bret, You screwed Bret, You screwed Bret, HIT THE ROAD OLD MAN. Earl Hebner had nothing to do with the idea of 'screwing bret' he only called for the bell which he was told to do by Mr. McMahon, and if Hebner didnt do it he would of been fired & Vince would of got another referee to do it anyway and you would of hayed that referee instead of Hebner, just like shawn michaels, if he wouldnt of been in that match, then in just would of been some other unlucky person that would of had to of done it, so dont hate Earl Hebner just because he did what his Boss told him to do because if my Boss told me to do something, i would do it, and im sure you would to!
July 19, 200519 yr Excellant news. See, what goes around DOES come around. Karma Mr. Hebner, karma. Swear over your kids will you? I laugh in the face of Earl Hebner.

July 19, 200519 yr Earl Hebner had nothing to do with the idea of 'screwing bret' he only called for the bell which he was told to do by Mr. McMahon! What and then ran to the waiting car that wisked him away from the arena away from Bret. Yeah wasn't planned at all was it.
July 19, 200519 yr What and then ran to the waiting car that wisked him away from the arena away from Bret. Yeah wasn't planned at all was it. did i say anything about it not being planned, no, i said Earl Hebner had nothing to do with the idea of screwing bret.
July 19, 200519 yr did i say anything about it not being planned' date=' no, i said Earl Hebner had nothing to do with the idea of screwing bret.[/quote'] LOL yes he did it was discussed early on and he agreed to go along with the whole thing. I believe Mic Foley says in his book that Earl actually had a drink with Bret the night before and told him how godd a friend he was to him. knowing all along he planned to help screw the guy. If he has been sacked then good. Like Simon said Karma.

He said he only knew what was about to go down 10 minutes before it happened and the night before Shawn Michaels & Gerald Briscoe were discussing what shawn would do if Bret tried to Physically Hurt him when the screw job happened, so if Shawn & Brisco were disscusing it the night before & Hebner only found out about it 10 minutes before it happened that shows that Hebner was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he was asked to do it by McMahon & that Hebner had nothing to do with the idea of Screwing Bret.
July 19, 200519 yr If this is true, absolutely brilliant news !!!!! I hate Earl (as a ref), hopefully Chiota and Robinson will be next. Although then I won't have anyone to boo at live events, hmmm maybe they should bring him back for one off appearances so I can boo him.
July 19, 200519 yr On an interestling note to the Screw job. Vader went to see Bret before the match and told him to be careful and not to trust these SOB'S. He also advised Bret not to let himself be put in any submission holds where he would be in a defenseless position.
July 19, 200519 yr Why would they keep Earl on? He misses cheating by heels all the time, He doesnt see interference and always seems to get in the way of the Wrestlers causing him to be knocked out in nearly every high profile match. I'd sack him as he's obviously not up to the job and is very clumsy.
July 19, 200519 yr Dave Meltzer is reporting it so it's definately true. In whicyh case, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~~~!!!! So long Earl. I'm sure Bret awaits your call :)
