Thanks to some help from special guest referee Chris Jericho, Carlito defeated WWE Champion John Cena on RAW in a non-title match last week. With the win, Carlito earned himself a rematch with Cena, but this time the WWE Championship will be on the line. RAW GM Eric Bischoff said it was the beginning of the end for Cena last week. Will Bischoff get his way and have a new WWE Champion crowned? Will it be Carlito facing Chris Jericho at SummerSlam instead of Cena? All of these questions will be answered Monday night on RAW.

Plus, last week Eugene made a shocking return to RAW and participated in the Angle Invitational. The lovable Superstar accomplished what no one had been able to do on either SmackDown! or RAW over the last year – he defeated Angle to win his Olympic Gold Medal. Now that he has conquered the Angle Invitational, the new Olympic Gold Medalist will be hosting the Eugene Invitational. Be sure to tune in to RAW for this one.

Leyla won immunity by winning the Hot Dog Eating Contest last week on RAW. As a result, she can not be voted out of the RAW Diva Search this coming week. But Kristal, Summer, Elisabeth, and Ashley are still vulnerable to the vote. Next week, the Diva hopefuls will participate in the Queen of the Mountain contest. Who will be the next contestant going home? Tune in to RAW next week to find out.

On wwe.com it says Vince will have a major announcemant tonight, hopefully something to do with Sumerslam and not to do with what the divas next challenge will be.

The announcement will probably be:

"Ladies and gentlemen, Hulk Hogan cant be bothered to turn up again this week either, thus making his 'feud' with HBK even more of a farce than it has been already...go home."

All I can say is Hogan better turn up. And if he does it better be something better than "you know something brother dude etc" or I'm thinking one orange goblin, might not get the best reaction at the PPV, with people realising he's done absolute sod all for the feud.

As for Vince's announcement. Who knows. I have heard rumours like Kevin Nash being the ref for the SS main event. But all pray to god, that doesn't happen.

Its really pissing me off because this should be a sure fire hit feud, a cant miss feud like the InVasion should have been, yet its heading down the same path of something that should be impossible to **** up, but without Hogans involvement (or even his interest, apparently) its turned into a joke.

If he turns up and cuts a good promo, that will rule. But I'm not holding my breath.

I have a feeling it will be to do with Brock also, there have been rumblings about him showing up on, or signing with RAW for a couple days now, would be cool if it happened.

But no, please not Nash as ref at SummerSlam...if they accounted Bret as the ref, hey I dont care for him, but that would be something, lol.

If its about Lesnar it doesnt necessarily mean he'll join Raw. They could have Vince say that Lesnar is a free agent and that Bischoff and Long have to presue him into joining their brand.

I dont think it'll be about Lesnar though, i reckon it'll be something about this Hardy/Edge/Lita thing.

Hogans announced on some radio show that he would be appearing on Raw for the 8/8. So he won't be around tonight. :) . I have a feeling Vince will 'reinstate' Hardy so they can get the fued going properly and have their match at Summerslam. There really is no way they can so anything else with Hardy just randomly attacking Edge every week.

I always liked Tatanka, so I hope he does return for a one off.

I like the way WWE are bringing back names, from the past.

As for Lesner, I can't see him returning tonight. I would love it, but I think his 'debut' will be at SS.

Daveg is correct. Hogan isn't planned to be here tonight.

All I can is, he better have one hell of an interview planned for next week.

the following just posted on nodq.com

To update on Vince McMahon's "major announcement" tonight - it's likely to involve Brock Lesnar and his role at WWE SummerSlam 2005.

The note below contains a potential spoiler. Do not scroll down if you don't wish to spoil the show.

previously reported, Chris "Tatanka" Chavis is backstage at RAW right now. The only speculation heard right now is that the company were looking for a Native American character as the show is emanating from the Mohegan Sun Casino.

From Tatanka's official website:

"Yes... for those of you who may have noticed, Chris will be participating on WWE programming tonight... most likely in the Masterlock Challenge segment. Stay tuned here for more news in the next few days!"
