Fahrenheit

Slated for a release in the coming days, this promises to be an original, unique approach to an adventure game. I havent been this intruiged by a game since Ico. Much of it has been kept a mystery, but has so much hype!!

Shall be getting it indeed, could be game of the year!

There seems to be a lot of European reviews around for it already with a lot of 9s and 10s been thrown around, it looks like I'll certainly be getting this
The demo was encouraging stuff. It promises to be a pretty interesting experience, and might finally provide interactive storytelling elements which are missed by most titles. I'm getting DOR2 on Friday though.
I've been watching this game for a long while. I've played the demo and it certainly is brilliant. It's so non-linear it's incredible. You can basically make hundreds of decisions and every single one effects the story in some way. I will be getting this game the moment it comes out. This and Far Cry Instincts will be the last Xbox games I buy before the 360.

I pre-ordered this off of Amazon £25 :)

Don't really know that much about it gameplay wise. The story is what hooked me. Forgetful murder = fun......................in video games.......and in rea...........

I Preordered it from Game a while back :)

I haven't been playing this long, btu I can definetly recommend it to anyone, who wants somethign new to play.

The way the game runs, is incredible. I was messing about the first time I played, and ended up not being able to literally do what was needed in time (

Pun bandages on my hands, find a key to the door, get dressed, put the bloody clothes in the washer etc

).

The controls, and camera are a bit tricky in parts, but that's proabbly because I'm new to it.

So overall, it is definetly worth borrowing if you want to try it, or buy it, if you have heard good thign and are interested. It is worth it. I guarentee, if you want a game that tests you, not just a repetitive shooter, or something equally as easy, you will enjoy this.

Just a question though, to anyone who has got further than me (Park meetup).

How do you get the boy breathign again? I have tried a lot of different controller combo's but can't get to grips with it

I got it today with a free Atari T-shirt and LOve the game. the part I am stuck at is a flash back. BTW Jack the part you are at is a simple flick down after each count down.
Cheers Jack, the magazines are giving it a average score of 9/10. So all my doubts are gone as I buy it tommorow!

What do you do in this game?

I heard you could make 1000's of decisions to affect the story, but I can't find it on GameSpot anywhere for a Review...

All's I find, is, umm... a name-rip off? look at the release date... I even did a search on the game and it only came up with this with Farenheit in the title...: http://gamespot.com/segacd/adventure/fahrenheit/index.html?q=fahrenheit

What you need to do is (If I am right about which part you are on), go to the far right at the start. There will be a net there, and to climb, move the analogue stick, from the left or right, to the top.

After you are over that part, make your way to the left, where there is ahole in the fence.

From there, hide behind the second set of boxes, with a tent under them. Wait for a truck, and when there is a big gap between thehangars, make your way accross the road.

In the building, I just left his friends to die, as I couldn't find them ;)

Thats a completely different game. In America Farenheit is called 'Indigo Prophecy'.

I'm really enjoying this.

During the bit in Carla's flat (you know, the shower scene) did anyone else get dressed to answer the door, but after Tommy left, got undressed again..........

........hmmmm just me?

So, am I a geek, a dork or a pervert?..........or perhaps a mixture of the three. Video game ladies RULE HARD!

The game seems pretty decent. I played the demo and it is great.

Nope, not just you. I did that too.

Well Fahrenheit was fun to play, it came on Wesnesday and I had completed it by the next day. Sickeningly short in my opinion but I was hoping that's where the "non-linerality" would come into play. After playing it a second time you really do realise you have absolutely no real choices whatsoever. A few things make a little difference. And one or two things make a substancial different, but only to decide what ending you get.

It was a well thought out and nearly as well executed game. But i've come to expect so much more from games these days. It was generally interesting, but it's not a game i'm particularly interested in holding on to. It would have been better to rent it.

I'm really enjoying this.

Yup! :P

I agree with you, Fenix. Good game, but too short. I started it on Monday night and finished it on Tuesday.

The 'right' control stick. move it from 9 o clock to 12 and then from 3 o clock to 12. Repeat process. I think that's the correct way, but you're right, it is a bugger.
