Matches announced for the show are Mark Henry vs Rey Misterio in a #1 contender match, and Kurt Angle vs Daivari (I'm guessing something will happen on RAW to set this up).

Lashley defeated JBL. During the match, the Boogeyman came out, distracted JBL and Lashley got the pin. Boogeyman ate worms in the ring after the match.

Kurt Angle is walking around backstage, being congratulated by the Smackdown! superstars. Rey Misterio gets in Kurt's face, then seconds later Mark Henry also gets in Kurt's face.

JBL is backstage, yelling at Teddy Long to do something about the Boogeyman. Long makes a match for the Rumble: JBL vs Boogeyman. JBL looks scared.

Booker T and Sharmell come out to celebrate U.S. Title win. Balloons fall from the ceiling. Out comes Orlando Jordan, demanding a match tonight with Booker. Booker says he's not cleared to wrestle yet. Jordan shoves Booker down. Teddy Long comes out and makes a match for later tonight: Randy Orton (as Booker's substitute) vs. Orlando Jordan.

Matt Hardy defeated Fit Finlay by DQ. At the end of the match, Finlay has Hardy in the ropes, and starts delivering hard crossfaces. Ref counts to five, Finlay is still delivering the crossfaces. So the ref DQs Finlay and awards Hardy the match. Finlay gets on the mic and says "I'll give you something to DQ me for." He puts Hardy's head on the steel steps and stomps on his head.

Footage of Batista's surgery is shown, with a message from Batista saying he will be back.

Rey Misterio vs Mark Henry. Henry kicked out of a 619 and frogsplash. Henry wins with a powerslam, setting up Henry vs Angle at the Rumble for the world title. Misterio sold the injured ribs for a good five minutes, and the refs carried him back to the back.

The Gymini defeated Brian Kendrick and Paul London. Mr. Kennedy at ringside for this match providing commentary.

Randy Orton defeated Orlando Jordan. At the end, Jordan is on the top rope, poised to attack Orton. Sharmell and Booker T come down. Booker nails Jordan with the crutch, Orton follows up with the RKO for the pin. Afterwards, Chris Benoit comes down and chops the hell out of both Booker and Orton. That sets up Benoit vs Orton at next week's Smackdown! tapings.

Kurt Angle defeated Daivari by DQ. Mark Henry and Melina at ringside to scout the match. Angle puts Daivari in the ankle lock, but Melina interferes, causing the DQ. Angle puts the anklelock on Melina, causing Henry to come in and attack Angle. Henry nails Angle with the steel steps and leaves him for dead. Daivari grabs the mic and announces he is the new manager of Mark Henry, and that he "screwed" Angle. Show ends with Daivari and Henry celebrating while Angle is hurt outside.

My guess is that the plan for wmania was to have a face Batista vs face Taker im not sure a face Angle vs Face Taker would work to well.

Personally id like to see Angle vs Benoit 202456 but i think we may end up with Orton vs Angle which shouldn't be to bad at all.

Well expect Kurt vs Henry for the title at the Rumble.:roll

And im anxious to see who's gonna go after MNM now that Rey and Tista aren't a team anymore.

EDIT: I thought that what carlito is cool posted was the Smack Down preview, not the actual results of the tapings, LOL. Anyway no MNM on SD, bah.

Wow, Daivari turning on Angle? It would have been better at the Rumble having Daivari turn on Angle, but Angle retain, because having Mark Henry as champion is a horrible thought. So, what happened to Angle addressing his World Title win?

Isn't Finlay a little too old to be wrestling? We've got enough old guys that are past their prime in the WWE.

JBL Vs The Boogeyman for the Royal Rumble?

Pardon my lanuage here but are they taking the piss?

Not at all, and i'm quite looking forward to this one

The build has been fantastic and if gives Boogey a chance to show whats he's made of in the ring. What would be a disaster is if JBL went over, a Boogeyman win, should, and will happen

Mark Henry and Kurt Angle? Now that's taking the piss. Kurt had to work in extreme overdrive last week on Smackdown to make Henry look good

I like the Boogeyman/ JBL storyline.. its really worked well and hopefully they can pull of an average match at least...

It's a shame DAvari isn't with Kurt anymore.. i think those two were great together and i wouldn't have minded Davari as a face.. now he is with Henry who is awful (why Kurt has to work with him..he will probably injure Kurt too... i rekon he injured Tista on purpose to try and get the title :devil).. after the Rumble Henry will go leaving Davari with no-one

personally i don't see the point of bringing back FInlay.. he is old.. rusty and has like no nerves in one leg from the knee down.. i think he has politiked backstage to get this becase i can't see the use of him.. and why job him out to Hardy?? they have Heidenreich you know!

Although I'd rather not see Mark Henry in the title match on the bright side Angle Vs Henry should be better than Batista Vs Henry would. At least Angle can carry Henry to a watchable match but lets hope Henry's run at the top doesn't last long

Smackdown Rumble matches are pretty bad, have they not learned yet that Mark Henry is a f'n shambles. He put Botchtista out until the summer because he is so careless in the ring, the Reward? A ppv title match of course! JBL vs The Boogeyman, as was already said, are they taking the piss?

Smackdown looks to be ok this week, JBL -v- Boogeyman, should be ok, as long as it doesn't turn into a squah match, expect Boogeyman to win, maybe a DQ win or something.

Angle -v- Henry at the Rumble, now that's a joke, Angle is not going to lose to Henry that's a given. This is almost as bad as Lesner -v- Hardcore Holly at RR '04

Have SD forgotten about Lashley, as he's not signed up for a match, so expect him to be in the RR itself, hope that he does well, but can't see him winning it.
