Superstars Of Wrestling (Today)

I was thinking today, TNA has a lot of great stars, in some cases awesome, but they are building themselves up to bigger things, they aren't greats YET, and I can only think of Sting as being a Superstar in TNA. any others?

As for WWE, they have (In my opinion) Triple H, Batista, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, and Rey Mysterio etc which are Superstars I think, but it takes a lot to be a "Super" star, qualities The Rock have, Austin, Hogan, Warrior and the like. Who in wrestling today has these qualities to be a future legend? can you see Boogeyman in the Hall Of Fame in years to come? (I can't) who is truly a Legendary Superstar today in your opinion, and who has the potential to be one and you predict He will be one day.

All those you mentioned, plus Undertaker (like him or loathe him), i reckon RVD, Shelton and Charlie Haas are capable technically of becoming superstars, but need to work on their mic skills. Of Course theres Cena (like him or loathe him) and Randy Orton (should he curb the tude). For me the next break out guys are either Lashley, Kennedy or Carlito.

I see Carlito becoming one of the next big star as he has a lot of potential. he's got a lot of charisma on the mic and he makes me laugh. I see big things for that big haired caribean . now that, thats cool.

I firmly believe that it takes a TON of charisma to be a real Star now - Benoit is a star because of how long he's been in the business, but without his in-ring, he's HORRIBLY on the mic.

Cena is definitely up there - his look and charisma alone put him in the Star rankings.

Possible break-out stars in the future could be: Kennedy, Carlito, Burchill (if they give him some real scope).

Carlito definately will become a big star along with Shelts and Charlie Haas

For TNA i could see Bobby Roode and Alex Shelley as the next two big breakouts

ye i thought paul birchill has what it takes....also maybe the new guy on raw, forget his name. i think the smackdowns new guy wont be. they are both sort of copys of other wrestlers tho, raws is like rikishi and other wrestlers like that, smackdowns is like andrea and that 1 undertaker faced at a wrestlemania once who wore that like body outfit :s

Umaga...hmmm I couldn't decide at first, but I kinda think he's ok now, adds that Headshrinker feel to WWE. A gimmick thats always been fun I think, although Rikishi with Too Cool is a time in WWE/F I'd love to forget, especially when he danced. I like Umaga when he lunges at the guy in the corner, looks like he really goes for that move, looks cool and damaging.

The Great Khali, I like this guy, he's huge, a giant, and could be set for some good feuds with anyone really, and can be great at squashing people, of course this all depends on his wrestling ability, but to be honest a guy this big doesn't really need any, chops to the top of the head, clotheslines, bodyslams, big boots, and blows are all this guy needs I think, WWE need to get him over though as the ultimate destroyer, or the ultimate babyface, and I don't see Khali being a babyface anytime soon. I personally dont' see either of these two being Greats in the future, but you never know.

Everyone is mentioning Carlito. I agree, but do you think he needs to be reinveneted to take it to the next level? I mean..how serious can that 'character' he plays be taken and how far can it go? Luckily, its not a boring character and it can last..but for how long?

Unless he squashes Cena! Then he's the ultimate babyface!:D

Carlito why we a big star in the Furture. He somewhat reminds me of a young Rock with his Charisma and improving in the ring. Lashley is going places real quick and burchill is great and will do great. The gimmick that could really get him over would be like the British Bulldog's in the past of A english man over here to impress the fans.

I agree with everything you say apart from that and the Burchill thing. What are you thinking mate?!:?

In terms of being "SuperStars" no one in WWE today is a patch on the last bunch. No one comes close. Austin and the Rock were the last real Superstars and they go into the group of an Elite few.

But at the end of the day whilst the average man on the street in the late 80's early 90's knew who Hogan was, and in the lat 90's Rock and Austin were household names, ask someone who Cena or Batista is today and they will say....Who?
