Whats your favourite? It can be anything from a cutscene to an intro, to an ending? There have been so many classics down the years i just want to see what everyone's favourites are?

 

Mine are:

1. Aeris eating Sephiroths blade (predictably).

2. The intro to Devil May Cry 3 (where Dante surfs the bad guy while eating pizza)

3. The animated intro to streetfighter 2. Cheesy yeah, but it had THAT music!

4. The Intro to God of War. AWESOME!

5. The First zombie cut scene in the original Resident Evil. I shat a brick, frankly.

I never played FF apart from number 7 but the bit where the radar thingy opened was cool-as.

 

Having just got Shenmue running on the emulator means I've just been reminded of how well the opening cut scenes worked in that game. Maybe some of the later ones were a bit dodgy (like the rough n tough sailors "bad language") but it's charming.

 

The opening vignette on Tekken 2 was the first thing I ever saw on the Playstation and it blew me away. A shame it set me up to be disappointed by the in-game graphics.

 

There must be more but I'm going a bit blank here... :?

Ah yeah. the Soul Calibur intros are always stunning. Complete with totally cheesy booming voice over! The Tekken endings are cool, (hate the game though) Bryan Fury beating the crap out of some tanks was great, as was Jin morphing into Devil Jin.

Another Resident Evil one for me would be the Gamecube remake intro with Jill, Wesker and Chris running through the forest and being attacked by dogs

I liked the intro animation bit ell had in FF8, it wasn't classic, but it was cool i thought.

And who can forget the first appearance of the Licker, again from Resi. Man...i HATE those things. Halo had a killer intro too i though.

Tomb Raider the original...always meant hours of an angry dad screaming at me and my brother, demanding silence, concentration, and help when he needed it...good times...

Actually, the new tomb raider has a cracking ending as well. Controversial this may be, but some of the cut scenes in final fantasy 10 was simply stunning, such as Yuna sending the souls to the otherworld......

The most underrated and over criticised game in history

 

I loved it and i don't think there's really been that kind of game that has been bettered, plus i really liked the story. Supplemented my need for a Streets of Ragesque fighter on PS2

 

Some of the cut scenes were great and the fighting was awesome - way ahead of it's time considering this was released within the first 6 months of the PS2's launch

The ending sequence on Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater, once you have beaten the final boss, that woman who trained you, it is an awsome cut scene :D

I always found the cut scenes for the Tekken and Metal Gear games to be quite entertaining.

Metal Gear's were entertaining but often far far too long.

The talking tattoo scene in Monkey Island 1 :D

Also anyone remember the first appearance of Nemesis in Res Evil 3? Not good for the clean trousers situation.......ace game too!

 

Apparently FF12 blows the socks of anything else on current gen platforms though, so we'll wait and see.

Predator Concrete Jungle on PS2, the cut scenes are worth buying the game fore, altho the game itself is great too :D

OMIGOD! Just seen the opener for FF12...........now that my friends, is how to set a scene.........
