Ryan
Kane has expressed to wwe management that he will soon be retiring from the ring. Although this comes as shock to many' date=' Kane has informed management that he has accomplished all he can in his career, and will possibly hang up his boots as soon as January 2007. Although Kane's retirement wouldn’t affect his See No Evil film deal seeing how he's signed a contract for a sequel of the movie. One source within wwe reports that "Kane is the most respected guy in the Raw locker room. He caries himself very professionally and it would be ashamed to end his career without a decent title run". Although Kane has expressed many times about his 24 hour title reign not bothering him, many within wwe including Vince McMahon feels that Kane has been bothered by not getting a title reign, especially due to the fact that his Judgment Day and No Way Out victory plans were nixed. Another close source within wwe reports that when Kane was asked about a possibly future title reign he commented "It's time for the younger guys to shine". Kane has also expressed that some feuds he'd like to be involved with before his departure from the ring include Lashley, Randy Orton, John Cena and a tag team reunion with The Undertaker. Undertaker has express to management that Kane could possibly be the one to end Taker's Wrestlemania undefeated streak seeing as how Kane attempted twice in the past. However Kane turned down the idea, seeing as it would take credibility away from Taker's legacy[/quote'] Kane seems like a really, really nice guy, i'd love for him to have another Title reign, and re-uniting the Brothers of Destruction 1 more time, i'm all for that :)
Chris2K
Wow, what a great guy he sounds like. If only a certain other RAW main-eventer could be a bit more unselfish.
Guest SuperKick Kid
I'd really like to see Kane get at least a 2 month title run before he leaves.

Guest Dave7g
He seems like a nice bloke alright, but no way should he be getting the belt, he's worse now than he ever was.
Ryan
He seems like a nice bloke alright' date=' but no way should he be getting the belt, he's worse now than he ever was.[/quote'] put him in a 2 moth injury/suspention/whatever angle, then he'll have 2 months to get back in shape which is plenty of time, in that 2 months he could be in OVW sharpening up his skills. Guest Slim Jim
What's the point in sending him to OVW when he's going to retire soon? You can't teach an old dog new tricks, or something like that.
Guest CKChamp
From whats been posted and all I've read/heard Kane does seem like a cool person, I think he should have a few months to get in his best wrestling shape, and have one last run, I wouldnt even minded if he held the WWE heavyweight belt, if Batista can, so can Kane..... People often forget how great he was in his prime 97/98, sure the matches werent "classics" but most wouldnt expect that from the huge monster character he played. Guest JBLHBKTAKER
What a great guy. Give him the world title he works his ass off and never moans about the crap dealt to him in the past. Do you think the Kane (With Mask) will replace the Kane now?
Guest Rog
No there HAS to be a redemption for the 24 hour reign. It would be a huge shame to let him go with such a weak track record. But has his chracter been screwed up too much for anyhting to happen that would be credible?
Guest Danny Styles
wow now THAT is a team player I salute you Kane :worship and well doen to Taker for offering that, but still Kane needs a good title reign, he deserves it so much and by the sound of it he's well respected so why not give him one run
Guest Telf
If this news is indeed true, i'm pretty bummed about it as i've always been a big Kane fan Here's a guy who had one of the most recognisable gimmicks in the industry. He got short changed a bit with the Isaac Yankem and Diesel "2" gimmicks. Because of the background of the character he got propelled into the main event almost fairly soon and played it extremely convincingly I met him at a meet and greet in birmingham and he was very humble and was the most talkative out of the lot. I asked him how he thought his bicep tear in 2002 had affected his career since - he simply answered "I'm just grateful i'm still out there performing on a consistent basis" They made the character into a bit of a laughing stock, seeing as when he returned from this injury he was made to a Kane-a-rooni. Not something i personally wanted to see - it just wasn't what the character was all about The unmasking was bound to happen at the pace WWE moves nowadays. It had it's moments early on but hasn't really been much since. Hopefully this new angle will give it an extra lease of life. I'd be more than happy for him to hold a major title for a good few months. For me, it would have the same meaning as the Benoit and Guerrero title reigns - guys who have worked hard for the company for a number of years to finally get their due. Fair enough, his in ring work isn't quite at the level that Benoit's is and Guerrero's was, but it's no less than he deserves It's been mentioned quite a few times in the past that Kane has proven to be a successful draw; so i think they have that aspect of it covered
Guest MrFill
Both times I've met him he's been a TOP bloke. The first time was just before WM-X8 at a meet & greet and he was sat next to Jericho, I asked to see the Big Ugly Gold Belt and Kane happily "modelled" it for me while Jericho offered to sell it to me. :D The second time he was tagging with RVD, just before he removed the mask - had a few words and he was cool then. Guest rawiswar
Glen is a great guy. From the video interviews I've seen he seems like a real nice guy who tries to do best for the company and is generally nice to the interviewers. Shame to hear he is considering retiring, I feel he needs to go out in a special way.
Guest Nemesis Enforcer
What a guy who is stepping aside to let young guys come through AND not being selfish in his departure plans... what has happened to the world :lol I am glad to see there is one guy who is looking out for the company tho not just himself :)
Guest DarkMatchJobber
It would be terrific to see the Kane and Undertaker tag team one more time because they were one of the most dominant teams in the WWE,I would particularly enjoy seeing them destroy the great khali and force him out of the company ! Kane would be drafted to smackdown for his reunion with Undertaker and then he could win the world heavyweight title and hold it for four months whilst feuding with Batista,Randy Orton and Undertaker (him and the deadman could have one of those mutual respect rivalries where neither man is the heel)
Guest Thirteen
So let me get this straight... Because he seems to be a genuinely nice guy that should automatically entitle him a Heavy Weight Title reign? Never mind the fact that the guy should never be allowed near it in-ring talent wise?:? Guest WCW4LIFE
he is the best big man in the wwe and probably the wrestling world because he works his arse off!! Guest MrFill
Reading this thread makes Kane sound like Jesus or something. No, Jesus was rubbish - Cena beat him quite handily and then he was sacked.
Guest Craig
kane is better now than taker acctually maybee abyss is better than him but he is best in the wwe he isnt that limited I'd say Undertaker, Big Show, Umaga, Batista, JBL are all better big men than Kane. Especially Undertaker.
Guest Telf
I'll be the first to afmit that over the past few years, Kane's in ring work has dropped But i think the argument here regarding a run with the title is more do with what he deserves. Hence why i mentioned Guerrero and Benoit (all be it to a lesser degree)
Guest MojoPogo
See? there is hope yet! That said, he can say something about his career.....he won the WWE version of weakest link! But seriously, even if its a nostalgia thing, give him the mask back, and give him the title for at least 1 month. Thats not going to kill anyone is it? Like Kane or lump him, he's a top bloke, and for sticking around when most would have jumped given the amount of times the wwe have dropped the ball with him.....he deserves it.
