Posted June 6, 200618 yr Just saw on Gamespot that they released this on PS2 for $20 in the U.S. Is there a release date for it over here yet?
June 7, 200618 yr will there be a XB version along a some point, I'd guess so since the others have been ported.
June 8, 200618 yr Typical Sony trying to get as much $ as they can......it would be a really bad game!!
June 8, 200618 yr Vice City Stories will rock, wasnt much for Liberty City (GTA3). Vice City is where its at!
June 8, 200618 yr I have LCS on PSP, it's actually not very good. Scratch that it's crap full stop. It's not even as good as GTA liberty city or Vice City. Edited June 8, 200618 yr by The Icon
June 8, 200618 yr I liked the way the PSP version could have custom playlists with your own music, much like a lot of Xbox games, and the way they fit all of Liberty City onto a UMD, but other than that I never really played it much after I got SmackDown vs RAW 2006 for my PSP
June 8, 200618 yr SD VS Raw is the perfect handheld game' date=' a quick fix game.[/quote'] Have you played it? It takes about 3 hours to load up! Not quick at all. Anyway, although Vice had the coolest setting, and although San Andreas is just freakin insanely massive, GTA3 still holds a special place in my heart and it just seems to have a better atmosphere if you can smell what I'm cooking. Anyway LCS just isn't as fun as last 3, but its multiplayer makes it great if you've got some friends.
June 8, 200618 yr Yeah but only on WLAN, not half as handy as X-Box live. And I meant quick fix as in you can pick up and put down, ice ages have come and gone while it loads.
June 27, 200618 yr Has anybody bothered to buy this on the PS2? If so, is it any good, worth buying? I'm thinking about it.
June 27, 200618 yr From everything I've heard, if you've got the previous game, then this is pretty much the same thing. But it's £20 new, so you might be able to find a second hand copy REAL cheap.
June 27, 200618 yr It is the same thing nothing added at all, in fact they took away the multiplayer part.
June 28, 200618 yr I've got it for PS2. At first I thought it was shat, but once you get into it, it's pretty good. I bought it for £18, well worth the price.
June 28, 200618 yr Mine arrived today from Play.com (£14.99). I can't wait to get into this. GTAIII is by far my favourite of the series and I love Liberty City. Yaay.
June 28, 200618 yr They were surprisingly similar to the PS2 version on PSP. It's a good game, and it's nice to have something new to do in Liberty, but even though it has more features than GTA 3, it lacks the atmosphere the original had. Although that might be different on PS2 with a bigger screen, as I have only played on PSP.
June 29, 200618 yr RAAAAAAAR! This game pwns! Sorry, but I mark for Liberty City. Ah I do love it so. Cruisng around, kiiling hoes....it's like being......home! I played it for about 90 minutes last night and just loved it. Got the same buzz that I did from playing GTA3 for the first time. Cruising around on bikes makes this even better. And it's the little attention to detail that makes me really smile. In the booklet there's a newspaper article about a protest group called American Road Safety for Everybody who are trying to get motorbikes banned from Liberty City as they are too dangerous and cause far too many fatalities. If you know your GTA then you'll know that this is set before GTA3, which didn't feature bikes. Great booking. It's the little things, I tell ya. One of the new subgames is fun too. You become a salesman for a car dealership and have to take people out for a test drive. You need to figure out what they're looking for in the car and then demonstrate that this is the car for them. Nothing major, but good fun. Oh I'm very impressed with this. It's made Root a very happy bunny.
