Guest Nemesis Enforcer
The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Shawn Michaels’ frustration with the DeGeneration X angle is ever-increasing. Nonetheless, HBK does not want to be viewed as “difficult” by his peers, and he’s refrained from making any major complaints about the storyline. As seen on RAW, when the storyline calls for something against his religious beliefs, he comedically withdraws himself from the situation. Shawn Michaels will take a hiatus to undergo knee surgery after DX’s stint comes to an end. Upon returning, he will work a limited, three weeks per month schedule Source: PWTorch.com Prior to last week, Shawn Michaels had been relatively quiet with his dislike for the DeGeneration X angle. Although he, as a born-again Christian, was hardly thrilled with the DX antics, he had yet to make a public complaint due to fear of coming across as “difficult.” He was, however, extremely set off by the “oral sex scene” that took place on Monday’s RAW, and asked for a meeting with Vince McMahon about DX’s direction. Sources are not yet aware of the status of that meeting. Shawn Michaels will get knee surgery following the culmination of the DX angle, which was largely designed to boost summer ratings while helping HHH transition to babyface. Looks to me like HBK is going the way he did when he last got upset at the way his charecter was going... your thoughts?
Guest Danny Styles
well good for HBK, he's not kicking up a fuss in public and doing what's best for buisness you can't blame HBK for having beliefs, if anything it's the writers fault for writing the angles that are bad, but i think it's working fine as it is, and it's not long term i think but loosing his smile is taking it WAY too far out of context

Guest DarkMatchJobber
Shawn Michaels could have rejected the DX angle if he had wanted to because all wrestlers have the right to turn down an angle if they do not want to do it so why should he have any sympathy if he suddenly changes his mind about it ? Guest Danny Styles
Simple....the money! he won't get a pay rise just for DX (except for the T-shirt royalties after that great promotional video on Raw)
Guest SuperKick Kid
Ugh, It's LOSING, not loosing. Personally I thought the BJ segment was stupid. But HBK doesnt need to be SO sensetive(sp?) to these sorts of things.
Guest MrKnow
he won't get a pay rise just for DX (except for the T-shirt royalties after that great promotional video on Raw) I know that.....:roll HBK wouldnt turn down any angle within the WWE simply as the money for being a mainstream star is too good, to fear the mid card wrath of Vince.... Ugh, It's LOSING, not loosing. Personally I thought the BJ segment was stupid. But HBK doesnt need to be SO sensetive(sp?) to these sorts of things. The segment was just ridiculously stupid. Segements like this just displayed DX overkill.... Edited July 9, 2006 by MrKnow

Guest Nemesis Enforcer
why would he do any angle? Because HBK has and always will (dispite what he may say) want to be in the main event spotlight as much as possible
Guest MrKnow
For the reasons I have stated. With the injuries etc and the state of his body, and the fact that he is 40 + years old, doesnt matter how much of a Face he is....He will realise that is time at the top is limited.... Guest MrKnow
well that's the same as every wrestler But not every wrestler is 40 years of age, with a list of nagging injuries and a long lay off through injury.....End of the day HBK has to do as much for the company now to maintain his main event status before he is out for some time.... Guest Nemesis Enforcer
well that's the same as every wrestler Yes it is... but HBK when he became a born again christian said he wasn't like that any more, but as he has proven (on a few occasions) he isstill the same HBK taking this angle just to stay in the spotlight even though it is against his beliefs as it were

Guest SuperKick Kid
Vince should leave after this fued with DX and let HBK take over as GM of Raw. Allowing HBK to take some time off from wrestling, but keep him in an important position.
