Evolution!

Probably lots of you remember Evolution as it was back in 2003-2004 with Randy Orton, Batista, Ric Flair and Triple H. I was watching an old episode of Raw from February 2004 and it's just incredible how Evolution was everywhere on the show and in my opinion that's what made the show better.

All four wrestlers had a role that fit well to them, Batista wasn't talking a lot but was a monster in the ring, Flair and HHH were the two main guys and Orton the up and coming guy, future star. This stable put over the wrestlers that stood against them. A wrestler that was able to beat Evolution had just incredible reactions from the crowd. HHH was just awesome as the cerebral assassin and mastermind of Evolution. This stable gave so much great moments, we just have to remember Randy Orton and The Rock's segment, Rock N' Sock Connection vs Evolution, Shelton Benjamin beating Triple H, it was just a great stable in my opinion. From my point of view, it's better than McMahon crap.

So my point is, maybe WWE needs another big stable of 4-5-6 people, in majority wrestlers, that would take over Raw or Smackdown, with maybe 2great established heel and some future stars like Kennedy or Burke. Than the faces would rise against them and team up, it'd give good tag team main events, great shows and something else than crying about a dead billionaire.

What do you think? Does WWE needs a big stable to interest their wrestling fans again?

The highlighted text explains this phenomenon.

Sounds too much like yet another NWO re-hash.

I mean, eventually the heels will get cheered, the babyfaces won't, then we're back into "shades of grey".

Eventually maybe, but I remember the Corporation with Shane McMahon HHH, Stephanie, Vince in 2000, wich was never cheered and was very entertainning. Maybe in a long-term stable some wrestlers would be cheered after sometime, but it would establish some new faces and give the opportunity to young wrestlers to shine.

I would love to see another major faction in WWE again, would certainly make my interest increase again. I think a faction on SmackDown would work well at the moment, as it can make huge stars out of a lot of people currently rostered on the show?

Totally agree. When Evolution were around they were probably the main thing of the time, I loved watching them and remember when they won all RAW Titles (obviously not Womens) at Armageddon 2003. The faction worked aswell, it made big stars out of both Batista and Randy Orton.

To me this only proves if all the cards are played correctly a stable can work really well and efficiently for everyone. I think they could do with a Stable to boost some young Wrestlers who have potential to be Main Eventers.

I think that there will always be a place for big factions in Wrestling as long as the roster can support it like WWE's can just as long as they don't take up the entire show or get stupidly bloated like the Corporate ministry did.

Id like Edge to form a stable with MVP,a tag team(cade and murdoch would be perfect) and maybe masters as the muscle in the group....

I posted a thread a while back calling for the return of Evolution to WWE and it's good to see other fans would like that too!

This is my booking idea...

HBK walks out to the ring having promised a huge surprise to close the show,he struts into the ring and does his usual thing before grabbing a mic off of Lillian. The Showstopper then announces that for the last few months his career's been dead and the only thing that can revive it is a reunion with his best friend....cue the dx music and HHH walking down the aisle in dx colors with water bottle in hand.

Trips gets into the ring with a beaming smile on his face and embraces Shawn before being given the mic,he goes on to say that during the long months he spent in the gym rehabbing his quad he watched as his best friend was brutally assaulted time and again simply because Hunter was not there to watch his back and adds that now nobody will ever get the chance to end a career of man he considers the greatest in the business, the pair hug again before HHH says to Shawn," let's give the fans what they came here for "

The pair then stand in the middle of the ring and as DX music plays start crotch chopping when out of nowhere (coming through the crowd) the combination of Matt Morgan,Ric Flair and Randy Orton assault the showstopper from behind but ignore the game,JR is having a stress attack and shouting " For gawd's sakes hunter! help your friend!!! " but HHH simply stands there watching as a figure four leglock,F5 (remember Morgan did that to Big Show) and RKO are hit on HBK,The Game then rips off his DX shirt to reveal an Evolution one and hugs his new(ish) best friends to close the show.

I think the HBK V HHH rivalry cow has been milked dry already.

If you want to re establish Evolution I would go for HBK and HHH to announce that it's time to put Degeneration X to bed. They continue to team together but the DX image is "so 1997".

Then like Evolution, HBK and HHH take a young up and comer and a powerhouse under their wing and form a new stable - but they use the stable to actually accomplish more than Evolution (who were formed to protect HHH basically) and push the younger guys. Candidates for the stable would be: Johnny Nitro and possibly Lashley.
