I managed to get my copy of Wrestlemania X8 today, my first thoughts are pretty good. The gameplay is not bad, the graphics are good, and it was great to do the outsiders Edge on Matt Hardy throught a table.

 

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else has managed to get hold of a copy of Raw or WM X8.

 

I'm still getting in to the game, so far so good. Although no Booker T, nwo, Hardy or Edges new music.

i will NOT be getting Raw as based on reports the game has not been improved / updated since it was released n the states a while back-

I aint got a GameCube so I will have to make do with Smackdown SYM, although that looks excellent.

No it doesn't, Stacey Keibler looks like an alien with all those pointed edges.

 

As for WM18, i'm having to wait until next thursday till I can get it, as I would rather have Super Mario Sunshine on friday !!

Man does that game look fun !

Super Mario Sunshine looks like another great game for the GC, and from the reviews I have read, it will be the best game on GC, if not best game of the year, but I'll wait and see, before spendiing anymore cash.

good news- it's a good wrestling game

 

bad news- it's not THE wrestling game we've all been waiting for (i.e. something that has us foaming at the mouth in pure joy)

 

i just read CVG's review of Smackdown: Shut your mouth and by god can i not wait to get that game. the graphics look soooooo good and the carrer mode looks like to have drastically imporved.

Nov 15 seems like ages away.

I got WM 18 today.

 

It's fairly good, but quite slow. One thing I don't get, is why they had to get rid of the excellent "grapple then button combination" system of pulling off moves.

one thing i hate is that you need to use two buttons to do certain stuff (pick up weapons, irish whip someone)

Yeah, but at least they've finally got the hell in the cell sorted out, being able to walk around the ring and still be in the cage.

 

I think the entrances are cool, and correct me if im incorrect, but have they finally licensed some music, like "Rollin" and "One of a kind"?
