Gamersyde has a nice collection of the trailers and screens, here.

IGN E3 Coverage here.

Gamespot E3 coverage here.

Game Trailers E3 Coverage here.

Last thread to go alongside with the others, which does as it says on the tin, being a thread for the PC news, and for the other keynote speeches from the likes of Activision, EA, Midway, Sega and THQ. I know it is no-showing E3 due to it's delay, but a new Spore video has been released thanks to IGN, here.

During MS' keynote they highlighted a some titles forthcoming for the PC market:

  • Thrillville
  • Bee Movie Game
  • BioShock
  • Crysis
  • Universe at War Earth Assault
  • Blacksite
  • World in Conflict
  • Age of Conan
  • Lost Planet
  • Kane & Lynch
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
  • Zoo Tycoon 2
  • Juiced 2
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

And of course Viva Pinata and Gears of War confirmed for PC.

Midway's presentation

  • Only 30 minutes long, straight to the point.
  • Opened with trailer for John Woo's Stranglehold, with an August release touted. It was announced that a demo will soon be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
  • Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am shown, made with the cartoons creators and due for release in August on PS2.
  • TNA impact! annouced as coming soon to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii (you were right Wolvie). They are billing the game as 'the most authentic wrestling game to date'.
  • Announced Wheelman, which is similar to Driver and will also be a movie starring Vin Diesel.
  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the DS shown.
  • Blacksite: Area 51 shown off and is coming September on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
  • Showcased Unreal Tournament 3 for PC and PS3, and is said to have a more robust campaign this time around and will feature user-created content

(Thanks Kotaku for info)

No real TNA Impact news, which blows.

Wheelman was announced a while ago, there has already been a trailer on XBL, might have been X06 as there was a ton of trailers out all at once.

Konami presentation

  • To say it was over quick is an understatement, six minutes long.
  • Reshowed the MGS4 trailer (check Sony thread for it)
  • Big announcement, Silent Hill V. Coming to the 360 and the PS3, with original composer Akira Yamaoka creating the soundtrack
  • New upcoming Dance Dance Revolution games for the PS2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii.

Take Two

  • Sid Meier introduced to show off the newest title in the Civilisation series; Civilization Revolutions. Console versions are simplified to allow gamers to jump straight into the fore.
  • Game features include Civilepedia (an online database) and rankings and leaderboards through it's Game of the week feature.
  • Montage of the next 2K Sports titles shown off, including Top Spin, and All-Pro Football 2K8.
  • Bioshock is shown off, with the demo showing the game is set in 1960 with a lost esque opening with the protagonist entering from plane wreckage.
  • First public ingame demo of GTA IV shown, but alot is left to ponder. Basically showed off the graphics engine, with the lighting said to be a highlight and the detailed landscapes surpassing the likes of Oblivion.

(Thanks to Gamespot)

THQ Conference

  • SD Vs Raw '08 on the Wii shown off, with special guests Candice Michelle and Michelle McCool (big whoop). They showed off a match between HHH and Cena, utilising the mimicing of their opponents taunts and some other tomfoolery.
  • Two new Pixar titles unveiled, Ratatouille (obviously) and a new title based on Cars, titled Cars: Mater-National.
  • They showed off the trailer for their forthcoming Conan title, doing what it says on the tin with him hulking his way through some enemies like your usual barbarian does.
  • New squad warfare title shown, titled Frontlines: Fuel of War.
  • Crypto returns in the next in the series of Destroy All Humans, as they showed off the 360 version of Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon.
  • Proclaimed that they have 12 racing titles in development including a new Juiced title, the next Stuntman title, and MX vs ATV.
  • de Blob is shown off, premise being that you control de Blob whom is trying to restore colour back to the landscape, which when achieved adds an instrument to the soundtrack.
  • Darksiders: Wrath Of War is revealed, coming on the 360 and PS3 next year. Controlling a character called War and is said to resemble Legacy of Kain, as you embark in a battle between 'the ancients and the demons.'
  • Headling the conference, and probably a knock to the WWE (THQ could be losing the licence after all), is THQ's newly aquired franchise, UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship. Introduced by UFC fighter Quinton Jackson, they showed off footage of action between Chuck Liddel and Jackson with the title resembling Fight Nights knockout's comprised with a traditional wrestling game engine.

(Cheers to Gamespot, and XBox Magazine)

Hmmm.......loading - intro # 1 - loading - intro # 2 - loading - match. Why do they spend so much time on the intro's? Sure, once or twice I may watch them - but then I turn them off.

The ring is still made of ice and the turnbuckles are still too damn small.

I couldn't tell if they'd got rid of the stupid stamina guff.

Story mode sounds better, although he did mention voice acting - which restricts it ALOT. The running in all directions is a nice touch. I guess Mysterio's new "look" has been spoiled......I'm sure his mask had a built in mullet - nice.

Mysterio doesn't wear that mullet thing when wrestling in the ring, but it reminds me of Kinnikuman (a wrestling manga). Does that mean they've changed his attire or does Mysterio have 2 attires? As in early shots he was wearing white.

Apparantly crowd surfing, and stealing drinks from the crowd to spit at your opponent are in SD wise, according to the latest Official PS magazine. The point is anyones guess, but they should be fun enough if they pull them off properly.

Didn't really warrant it's own thread so this will do, but Activision, have become the first publisher in nearly ten years to topple EA in becoming the highest grossing third party publisher. This was as a result of their $387.8 million in software sales from January to June 2007.

From Next-Gen.biz:

Activision’s feat is illustrative of its success in winning licenses to develop titles based on blockbuster movies and the continued popularity of homegrown franchises such as Call of Duty and Tony Hawk, as well as its knack of acquiring promising development studios.

Activision last year acquired Guitar Hero publisher RedOctane for a reported $100 million. Sales gleaned from the franchise are expected to make up around a fifth of Activision’s total sales for the current financial year.

"For 17 years, I've focused on becoming the No1 video game company, and we're getting a lot closer to achieving that objective," said Activision chief executive Bobby Kotick.

With Rock Band and Skate to come this could be very short lived though. Alot of people are praising the news, but like Wyndorf says a fair deal, has EA's output really been that bad? If anything most of Activision's is worse than EA's over at least the past four years.
