Well i'm looking foward to get my rather clean mitts on this gaming gem tomorrow morning, it looks rather superb.

Will anyone else be getting it tomorrow or soon?

Then next week, who knows, Wrestlemania 18, resident evil, right now my Gamecube is my oyster....

i'm getting it today

trading in Capcom Vs SNK 2 EO to get a price reduction

next week i'm getting Timesplitters 2 and Super Monkey Ball 2. forget X-box- my gamecube is my main focus of gaming now

though i cannot wait for Smackdown: SYM (i still care about my ps2 collection)

Got it today, played it for four hours straight, until my eyes began to sting.

It's pure gaming joy !!

The levels are great, although i've not got far, the music is perfect.

Took me a while to get to grips with the water pack, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

As for the graphics, they were the best I've seen on the gamecube so far (except resident evil).

i always thought mario was one of the best games on whatever computer it came out on starting with the Atari.

Never enter these forums again you idiot.

Yes ! Begone you ignorant fool !

As for Super Mario Sunshine, i've made good progress, 27 shines out of a possible 100. I've also unlocked Yoshi, it's great fun riding around on his back.

The levels are a mix of easy and hard difficulty levels, from simple "collecting coins" levels to the "insanely hard puzzle" levels. A varied mix which keeps it fresh.

WTF you been smoking- casue it must be good s*** to say that

mario sunshine cannot be described- awesome is an understatement.

the music is great, the jet pack is awesome and the booster attachment is brill till you hit a wall , the graphics are some of the best i've seen and the level challange is...well as Latino Reheat said refreshing

anyway i've completed the game with around about 75 shines- now i'm gonna get all 120 shines

be warned- the last level will test your mario sunshine gaming skills to the limit

I've almost completed Gelato Beach, but that melon story is just so tricky to complete !

Seabass - how long have you had the game? Coz if you got it last friday, you must be playing it like a fiend....

i got it the day it came out! (which must be last friday :D)

that melon one is frickin tricky because if you push it against an object or one of those eneimies hits it- bam! it's gone.

what i did was roll it to the left and go the long way across the beach spraying those suckers who were near me

as a side note i did the Gelato Beach last (didn't realise it was the thrid level till i looked at the score screen) :D

god i could go on about Mario Sunshine all day (and night) :D

Just want to point out that Mario was on the atari. In two game's in fact. ;)

was it called jumpman?

or was it the donkey kong games? (where you had to guide mario up a stage, dodging barells rescuing a girl called paula)

I was wrong, he was in three games for the Atari.

His name was Jumpman in the first 1981's Donkey Kong. Later on, someone at Nintendo noticed Jumpman beared a striking resemblance to Mario Segali, the Italian landlord of Nintendo's office in New York. That was all it took to make history.

Then in 1982 he stared for the first time as Mario in Donkey Kong Jr. The first Mario Bros game was in 1983, in which the whole game was made up of the two player battle game from Super Mario Bros. on the NES.

i aplogize to Hardcore Holly

then again i never owned an amiga so i get off light :D

It's cool. A lot of people do not remeber that Ninendo made game's for years before they came out with their own system.
I highly recommend "Game Over" which is all about Nintendo's history right up until the SNES. From their beginnings as a "handufa" (sp?) manufacturer (handufa are a Japanese version of playing cards) where they actually licensed Disney characters. They tried opening a series of "love hotels" (hotels which charged by the hour!)mthrough to buying up old bowling alleys and converting theme into "light shooting" galleries (like "Duck Hunt") and there early forays into home entertainment technology with extendable grabbing arms and robots. Well worth buying.
