Out on Friday and looking super, impressions across the board have been good to great, the control system seems to work rather than being chore and frankly it gives a good reason to own a Wii if one doesn't already. Very much looking forward to it's release and wondered is anyone else is as excited, or been lucky enough to have snapped it up already to give some impressions, spoiler free obviously.

I think the Wii's too complicated for me. I saw a commercial for this game, and I don't think I can play it. It was hard enough for me to get down Zelda.
I've had it preordered since before it was meant to be out last year. Looks excellent, the previews make me wanna Bee Mario :D
I got hold of this a few days ago and all I can say is that, imo, this is the greatest Mario game yet, At parts it combines 2D and 3D gameplay superbly.
Picked this up yesterday, in the time Paula was queuing to pay, 3 other people before her bought it as well! I've not played it yet but everytime I look up I'm intrigued and amazed by the game!

Really? I suck at video games and I actually had a pretty easy time with the Zelda game. I didnt go very many hours into it though

Got mine Friday from Asda £27.99, waiting untill Christmas to play it , very excited .

Well, in all fairness I was just learning to play and use the wii remotes for teh first time after a bit of partying.

I saw the advert for it on TV with the guy playing it, and it looks like the control method is really frustratingly difficult. Flapping around both hands all over the place, hands in front of you like a zombie...whats up with that?

I've heard its an awesome game, but it looks like a pain in the arse to control. Is this the case?

The guy's overacting. The controls are dead easy, about the only problem is the control is relative to the camera (i think) so if you run over the side of an oval/spherical object you need to push the thumbstick in the opposite direction when you hit the other side, takes a few minutes just to get used to though.

Completed five days after I got it. Too easy though not if you haven't played Mario 64.

I have 3 stars left to get and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get them. I DESPISE the purple comet levels God f*cking damnit!
All done, 242 Stars in total woooooohoooooo, awesome game
Playing as Luigi stinks, the skinny little sh*t slides after you stop running. Gay.
Yeah, it only really makes things hard though when you are in the racing levels.

At the moment I am playing my little brothers game Super Mario Galaxy. I am really enjoying it, I am just wanting to know people's opinions of it?

I know it's not much help but I bought it for one of my pals a few years back and he loved it :lol

I really want to steal it off of him but have never found the chance.

I think you're gonna struggle to find a better platformer to be honest. Aside from its overly cutesyness there's not really anything to dislike about it.
The cutesyness is good! I'm rubbish at games so tend to watch rather than play, so for me the visual is the real sellingpint for me. Explosions = good. Zoomy cars = ace. Pretty women = boring. Cute little stars that make ace noises = awesome :lol
I haven't actually played it, but I've found the general consensus to be very good. I'm not a wii player, I don't own a wii, but I'm interested in seeing how the game works, with the Wiimote, Nunchuk and all.
Lots of arm flapping...
