Right nothing in hardware wise is wrong

But today every one got a new update for xbox 360 as you do i downloaded it. now my marketplace and games slide are taking ages to load up after you sign into xbox live it just has little icon of console and flashing dot going around it and doesnt come on has anyone had this problem yet ?

A few of us were having problems last night also, seems like Live was struggling over the amounts of updates people were downloading last night. Hopefully will get better now that most people have updated their console.

Do you mean the lag?

it does it the first time (i.e. takes ages) but when you let it load it is fine from then on, at least thats what happened to me and mates

I mean the ridiculous lag that wasn't there on the last version.

 

One minute you have the ball the next minute there is a shot being smashed at your keeper. Not to mention the fact that sometimes he will clear it off the line and it's a corne. What's that about!

Yeah it's a total disgrace compate to last years,although I downloaded an update for the game recently and it seems to have fixed most of it,still it's not perfect yet.

 

I still can't understand why they put it out with such a bad problem.just seems so rushed to me.

another thing bad about the new PES beside the lag is how anyone under 20 i.e. Pato, Bojan, Giovani etc. is very crap on it when infact they are above average players at least despite their age thought in many ways its nothing new it took till this pro evo for Messi to be a true representation of himself

I will agree the maker's must know little about football. Some dodgy players are very good in it and other very good players are just average.

My friend had a far worse problem with his 360 at the start of the weekend.

 

He bought Mass Effect on its release date and it kept on cutting out mid level, the sound was audible but there was nothing on screen.

 

Believing it to be the game as the others where working fine he took back and exchanged for a different version... but then it started happening on other games as well...

 

Then the thing just would show a picture from the start and he tried everything, cables etc...

 

So he rang Microsoft who told him that he needed an Operating System re-boot and that holding down the Y button whilst on the launch menu (as in having no disc loaded) would do the re-boot...

So he bought a new one, the Elite he wanted seen as he had a bog standard launch version of the 360.

 

He then gave it to his techno savvy friend who fixes PC's, and has dealt with broken n64's and the like...

 

He fixed it in under an hour by removing condensation and moisture from the fan and cooling units. By... and get this... wrapping it in several towels and leaving the thing running for about an hour with no air getting in through the vents....

 

He then said if happened again he made need to bake the fans to remove any lingering trace....

 

Shame for my mate... he gave it away and now it is working... and he is also out of pocket for the price of a new Elite!

It will only work for so long and it is also overheating everything inside, it will go soon, and only be good for bin.

You only do it once, the moisture was affecting the running of the power plant needed to drive the fan so its going fine now.

 

Plus he thought it was good for the bin anyhow so the fact that it is working and there is a chance he might be able to get his saved games back is a great bonus
