I've seen this done on other forums and in honesty, there have several times where I've wanted to say certain things on wrestling that don't really need me to make a thread on them. So I figured this'd work here. Basically, just use this thread to make idle comments as you think of them, or to reply to the thoughts of others.

Over on WWE.COM they have a comprehensive feature on Royal Rumbles past. Except they seem to have forgotten that 2004 comes between 2003 and 2005. :lol

Here are some facts and figures from the Royal Rumble...

Most Rumble Wins: Steve Austin (3)

Longest Time in the Match: Rey Mysterio (1:02:12) *Interestingly, they mention Benoit in this section*

Shortest Time in the Match to Win: Steve Austin (9mins in 2001)

Shortest Time in the Match: The Warlord (2 seconds in 1989)

Since the 2001 event, the winner has always went on to 'Mania and won the title

Entry # with Most Wins: 27 (4 wins. John Studd, Steve Austin, Yokozuna and Bret Hart)

Most Eliminations: Steve Austin (36)

Most Eliminations in One Match: Kane (11. Some say 12, but Drew Carey eliminated himself)

Back-to-Back Wins: Hogan (1990, 1991), HBK (1995,1996), Steve Austin (1997,1998)

Longest Rumble: 2002 (1:09:23)

Shortest Rumble: 1988 (33mins) *Only 20 men entered)

Shortest 30-man Rumble: 1995 (38mins)

Chyna is the only female to compete in the match

Rey Mysterio is the shortest and lightest competitor to win the match. He is also the only masked man to win.

Kane has the most consecutive appearances with 8 (1999-2006)

Nine wrestlers have eliminated themselves from the match.

If you haven't seen the new Raw 15th DVD yet, then you are missing out in a huge way. It takes you from when Raw was absolutley the greatest most unmissable show on tv, to what it is now...

Plus it has a recent Sean Mooney interview.

It's intentional. Who won the Rumble in 2004...

How do you know? You never watch it.

WWE.com have an article up telling you how you too can get a body like that of The Great Khali here

Note: Steroids will help too :P

Are the matches and segments in thier entirety or is it just a video package fest?

I know it's intentional. If you read the rest of the post you'll see that I was surprised that they'd mention him in the "Most Time" category if they were leaving out his win in 2004.

I do, that's why I say it's missable, therefore what is your point?

And yes, it's full segments and matches with Tod Grisham involved for no apparent reason, much like his career.

Still the saddest thing I've ever seen. :(

The Sacramento Bee listed Friday Night SmackDown! as the 7th worst television show of 2007. Here is what the publication said about WWE’s show: ”Doesn’t matter that it’s fake, let’s look at the messages: use steroids, cheat, taunt, get revenge, and violence solves everything. Then there’s the massive misogynist steak. This isn’t a TV show it’s a civil rights violation.”

What's he saying? I haven't seen smackdown in ages and I cant lip read.

"I was never your partner" or something along those lines. Matts a jerk.

"I was never your friend"

MVP was near tears, as you can see. And I was in tears.

Wolf from American Gladiators needs to get signed by the WWE with his wolf gimmick. He can even do MOVEZ~!

Canadian Destroyer off the pyramid... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
Canadian Destroyer off the pyramid... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

Or as Hogan called it "A sunset flip off the top rope, Dude!"

He used "brother" 5 times in one sentence on that show.
You say that like it should be surprising, brother.
Mr. Kennedy's new finisher, The Mic Check is a grounded Weekapaug Groove. He totally ripped off the Triple Crown champ, but pussied out and can't handle doing it off the top rope.

Is that a Raw Spoiler? I just cant remember him using a new finish.

"..and we never will be friends."

It was the end of "We're not friends, we've never been friends, and we never will be friends." Or something similar.

EDIT: My apologies, DC is right, and here is a link to prove all the doubters wrong.

And as an aside, here is a link to the entire MVP v Matt Hardy feud
