Anybody else think this could be one of the games of the year? Having played the demo and experienced the sheer, head bleeding, heart pounding speed of the thing, coupled with the freedom to just annihilate almost anything in your path and "those" barrel rolls (just wait til you nail one through a billboard!), im of the opinion it'll render all other driving games obsolete. Though, i must admit, im not a sim fan, GT5 hasnt shown me anything that impresses me apart from shiny graphics (that again, you cant damage).....

 

What do you guys think?

I have the demo sitting on my PS3... so I'll play it later and get back to you.

Been meaning to download the demo for ages now...will have to tonight or tomorrow night...

To be honest i wasnt overly impressed with the Demo however hopefully when it is released it will be a trip to blockbusters and renting and if i am impressed with it then i might buy it

It looks the sh*t. The last Burnout I played was Burnout 3 and that was awesome so hopefully more of the same here.

 

Also is'nt there like no menus at all in this and you just drive drive around an open city looking for races?

I have to say I didn't enjoy the demo that much. :(

The demo's not bad, some decent exploration, online is better than I expected as far as performance not got in any online races but I have had a few impromptue (sp) games of 'Tag'. :D

Oh, bear in mind the demo doesnt have half the traffic the real game has.....

It's fun driving around. I'll need to play some more to get a good feel for it though. It doesn't look that good on SD though.

The only place that didn't have a lot of traffic were the beach and the highway, if there really is more traffic then it'll get close to being unplayable, especially in the really fast cars.

I've not gotten to play the demo at all, but the thing I'm worried about is they took out the crash events, which were arguably the most thing to do in the last one.

I don't like driving around looking for races, just let me race damnit! And the map is rubbish too. I will get it though, takedowns are my thing.
