As you could see from Raw last night, WWE has apparently done away with online voting for this year's Cyber Sunday PPV. In previous years, fans could cast their votes free of charge as many times as they pleased, but this year they can only vote by sending a text message that carries a $.99 charge plus standard text rates. The total number of votes is expected to be much lower than previous years as a result, however WWE will most likely still make a decent amount of money from the voting system.

Clever buisness decision by WWE and this will mean only American fans will be able to vote then I guess, still will save me alot of time and effort voting for thing over and over online :P

I see the intercontinental title is still sliding down in terms of respectablity and importance.
You are like a broken record... and one that was sh*t before it cracked.

The IC title is the centre-piece of a long(-ish) storyline that has a logical reason to be AND the belt is held by the perfect wrestler for this purpose. At Cyber Sunday, the match will feature three big names from WWE-past and will garner some interest from older fans because of it.

Seriously, is there a reason why you cannot let this issue go?

I'm thinking Charlie Haas will probably end up facing Santino at the PPV, he'll probably end up as Honky Tonk Man because it does seem kinda early for Santino vs. Honky.

I dont like the idea of the text voting, but its a good decision by WWE as they get something out of it. Means we cant vote in the UK but ah well. I want people to vote for Goldust just for a laugh.

Maybe he remembers when the IC belt meant something. Maybe he would like the WWE to put greater importance on it. Maybe he remember the people who held the belt before like bret, HBK, Streamboat and what it meant to there careers and what it isn't going to mean to his careers as he will never (hopefully) be any where near the WC or Maybe he doesn't like the belt being helt by a comdey character.

Sorry MVP i am not trying put words in your month but i feel the same way.

But onto Cyberslam

World Championship: Referee- Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, or Stone Cold:

Chris Jericho © Vs. Batista

This match who every the ref is isn't going to be great i am not sure Jechico could carry a decent match from the big man.

Intercontinental Championship:

Santino Marella © Vs. Roddy Piper, Goldust, or The Honky Tonk Man

given what i have just said i am praying for piper to get the vote and win then drop it to someone like Punk (i don't care if he held the WHC he wasn't ready and it showed. A good IC run could restore creditabity to the belt)

Maybe we all do, but at least the rest of us have realised it's never going back that way. Maybe the rest of us have realised that commenting on the situation in EVERY SINGLE THREAD where Santino and/or the IC Title is mentioned would become tiresome very quickly.

Maybe, just maybe, the rest of us have learned to enjoy it for what it is; (normally) the funniest, most entertaining segment on the show and an angle that has given the IC belt it's greatest exposure in since the glory days of Jeff Hardy v John Morrison feuding over it.

But why not? it could with the correct champion, the correct booking and correct opponents. Anything is possible.

I think that Santino could bring up the worth of the IC Championship. For starters, it looks like he's going to do everything in his power to beat the record set by The Honky Tonk Man. And if it was worthless, why would someone want to hold on to it THAT long?

What I dont get is, this is the first time in months the IC title has even been mentioned...So surely by putting it on Santino its getting recognition, rather than being buried on someone no one cares about...

I am going to say something and if any body has an issue with this then, well tough s**t really.

How the old IC title probably wont get booked into the 30 to 45 odd minute situation again unless the E thinks they have two people who is able to work off each other night in and night out and are able to top the matches night in night out.

Personally MVP is coming across as the sort of person who could say sit at a manchester united match and say "Oh well it's good to see that we're one of the best teams in the world. However I would love to see us go back to the team of the late 1980's earily 1990's", In other words even though the WWE is doing the booking for the IC title slightly different and getting the interest in a completely different way, which equally works they will never be happy and want to go to something which is history

Me personally even though it's not the old way of booking the IC title this is a great method of getting the interest in the belt and having someone like Santino being a comedy coward of a heel is making me more interested in it because I want to see someone (ideally a face with interference from the Honkey Tonk man music playing or something like that) actually beat him and not match or better that record.

World Heavyweight Champion:

Chris Jericho vs. Batista:

I think Jericho is going to retain his title at Cyber Sunday in this match. I'm a little tired of Batista being in the title picture in almost every other ppv.

As far as the referee is concerned, I think Randy Orton should be the referee. I wouldn't mind seeing Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold as ref though.

Intercontinental Championship Match:

Santino Marella vs Goldust:

I'm pretty sure Santino is going to retain his title against anyone he face on the list of possible superstars.

I want to see Goldust back in the WWE, so I pick him. Even if he doesn't stay, I still want to see him go against Santino.

I am not sure you could say equal works. It may work today but you can't really compare the crap today to the quality of the IC belt of yester year like like comparing Manchester United to Plymouth. Standards have fallen along way.

Try West Brom then, they were up there in the top flight and I hear all about the cups they've won, etc, etc.

Now they've just got into the Prem again as a longshot to stay up, in the middle it was crap to watch and built up.

Basically to get a good foundation again, you need to raze the building and stop relying on the building of yesteryear to prop up a condemned house!

Enough similies from me!
