Favorite Call of Duty game?

What is your guys favorite call of duty game? Mine's cod 4 because it has modern day guns:)

    CoD4 had the better level design but WaW has a better story, even if it has been used alot the WW2 games are a bit more impactful, I think maybe it's the fact that the modern soldiers are more professional and sound a more detached than in the WW2 games where they sound like they're just fighting for their lives. The best case in point would be comparing the two flying levels from the last two games.

    I only play for the online really and in that respect COD 4 is peerless but it also had good single player so yea definitely my favourite

    I disagree i think cod 4's storyline is as good as ww2.

    While I do agree that COD 4 is a juggernaut of success because of the modern time setting and while it has some harrowing moments in the game (for example being nuked and watching your team mates being killed in the final level) for me the current COD game world at war ( which I will admit I was overly critical on when I first played it) is perhaps equally as good as COD 4.

     

    However I will admit that the sniping mission in WAW is just more intense and feels like your playing the film "Enemy at the gates"

    Call of Duty 4 was indeed a great success but I don't know what the story line was like seeing as my brother scratched the disk so badly all that worked was the online play. I do like Call of Duty 4's online play with all of the modern guns and things like that. However I truly believe that Call of Duty: World at War is a better game because I have had the chance to fully go through it and play the story mode. The online play is also just an improved version of Call of Duty 4's. Seeing as Call of Duty: World at War has a few new features added in it shows that Call of Duty 4 could have been a bit better than it was. Looking at every aspect I believe Call of Duty: World at War is the better game.
