TNA Isn't about to get all the Arresting Developments, so to speak.

Jeff Hardy has been arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and a number of pills, reports ThePilot.com, a local newspaper from Moore County where Jeff Hardy is located.

The following is from the article:

"Hardy, 32, of 265 Boys Camp Road, Cameron, was arrested after a search of his residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia..."

He's currently in Moore County jail with bail set at $125,000. Hardy was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

...There isn't a facepalm big enough for my feelings about now. 8D

Still, we all saw this coming eventually...what an idiot!

CAMERON — Jeff Hardy, known nationally for his work with the World Wrestling Entertainment promotion, was charged Friday with possessing several illegal drugs including cocaine, prescription pills and anabolic steroids.

The arrest came as the result of a search at Hardy’s Cameron home which turned up 262 Vicodin pills, 180 Soma pills, about half a liter of an anabolic steroid, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Hardy, 32, has worked off and on for the well-known professional wrestling promotion since he was a teenager and with the help of his brother Matt ran a local promotion known as OMEGA in the late 1990s.

As a tag-team wrestler, Hardy and his brother held the WWE’s tag team championship six times. He was also a three-time holder of the promotion’s heavyweight championship. When not wrestling, Hardy has been involved in motocross and performs in a rock band called Peroxwhy?gen.

Chief Deputy Neil Godfrey of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office said Moore County sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at Hardy’s home after receiving information developed by the Fayetteville Police Department.

Hardy was charged with trafficking in opium, two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drugs, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He will make a first appearance in Moore County District Court on Monday.

He was placed in the Moore County Jail under $125,000 secured bond.

Basically he wanted to leave the WWE to go back to taking drugs all day long. He didn't want to show the WWE up while under contract, so just waited until he was out. :tdown

This throws the WWE's Drug Policy under the bus.

Oh well, atleast by not being under contract to the WWE he isn't going to get another wellnes strike. He just, might not get hired.

And yeah, Jeff hardly looks like a poster boy for steroids.

Pretty much - Jeff never was the most subtle guy though, so I'm not surprised this screwed up the way it has.

Don't think he's coming back anywhere anytime soon. XD

prescription pills and anabolic steroids - Maybe he HAD prescriptions for these, remember his back has been hurting, and thats why he has taken time off to heel.

Just a though.

Guess we'll have to wait for a follow up report, but...eh, Why not just present the prescription?

Those aren't exactly something to toss into a cupboard and forget about.

Plus you can't get a prescription for cocaine.

Maybe they'll repackage the New Jeff Hardy DVD into "The Self Destruction of Jeff hardy"

Yeah, and maybe he's just a cokehead junkie...

And, just a point, but my back is intermittently so bad they've repeatedly recommended spinal fusion surgery. We're talking unable to straighten my legs or walk properly, and believe me, the prescriptions don't come in the hundreds. Usually it's about 90 per script (3 times a day, 1 month at a time). And it's usually something like Diclofenac, and is highly unlikely to be both Soma and Vicodin.

And, as Dante said, you can't get a script for coke.

don't worry vince will hire him back and give him the world title as examples to others

By cancelling his current push and keeping him on the midcard for months and dragging out his main event feud to the point where his popularity with the crowd almost demands a World championship run, which in itself isn't very impressive and then giving him another chance for about 2 minutes? Or by giving him a short world title run with the sole purpose of putting over someone so that the new person might rise to the main event?

Seriously, I can easily point out that you're thinking of a certain other promotion that has their world title on a junkie/stalker at the moment but that would change this into a x vs. x thread.

So many things come to me with this story. Disappointment, anger, and confusion are just a few of them; I am disappointed that Jeff keeps screwing up and has pretty much ended his wrestling career for quite some time. He may return in the future, but it will be quite a while and I am not sure if WWE would take him back this time. I am angry because Jeff is being so stupid right now. Jeff is going to be the next wrestling tragedy and that is the unfortunate truth. It is evident that Jeff is a "hot mess" and needs some serious help; more so than I thought he did.

It is a shame that it has come to this for Jeff. It is hard to believe that he was the World Heavyweight Champion just a couple of weeks ago. It is also apparent that Jeff cares more about his addictions than anything else. The only real saving grace is for Jeff to sit in prison and get plenty of time to think about what he has done to himself, his family, and his career.

On the other hand, Jeff being left to his own devices in prison may not end well and I don't really want to think about that.

I can't imagine what Matt must be thinking; being in Canada and hearing that his brother has been arrested. He is probably not too surprised, but it has still got to be really frustrating and sad for Matt to have to try and babysit his brother while Matt is on the road. I am not saying that based on any actual knowledge of the Hardy family personally, but in most cases, the older brother watches over the younger brother.

Unfortunately, Jeff has leap-frogged (no pun intended) over Kurt Angle in the "death watch" category.

Jeff is beyond help at this point and that is unfortunate.

Yeah, I concur - I pretty much have to do the same with mine...>>;;;

Matt must be absolutely gutted about now - things were looking so good for a moment there too.

Damn, Jeff - Seriously...just what the heck?

For the record, Matt didn't bail me out, loan me money, or is his name on anything.. He's just learning about today's situation..

The media is the media, I wish they would at least report the story correctly & accurately. I will make a statement later.

I don't think you're allowed a cell phone in a cell. Nor does he really sound suicidal.

LOLz.

SIlly Jeff. The media will kick WWE in the d*ck over this, but not as badly as they would have if he was still in the company.
