Don't really have that many albums from that list. Have heard plenty of tracks from various albums but I only own a few of them. Bit disappointed to see my boys Oasis doing badly after they produced what I thought was a very good album. Pleased to see Coldplay and Doves in particular figure highly.

Of the albums listed there I have:

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood To The Head

The Coral - The Coral

BRMC - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Doves - The Last Broadcast

Oasis - Heathen Chemistry

Idlewild - The Remote Part

Primal Scream - Evil Heat

What are your thoughts on the list and of that list what albums have you got?

I have quite a few on those in the list.

Doves should have been number one for the awesome Last Broadcast, truly amazing album. :xyx Number 7? They're having a laugh. :mad

Nice to see the Coral getting more recognition too.

I don't have one single album from there, but I'm really glad to see The Music's album is relatively high up in that list. I want that and The Coral's album, but nothing else.

For NME that's not a bad list. I think BRMC's a bit high up though, but glad The Vines, QOTSA, Coldplay, Foos all got in there. I think Silverchair's Diorama shud have been in top 50, but oh well.

I have to agree with Coldplay being number 1 it is the best album that I have heard for years. I would like to have seen Ms Dynamite and Oasis higher up, but then again I'm slightly biased with Oasis being my favourite band. By the way the Birmingham 18/12 gig was amazing!
