Hey,

As you all probably the big match for the Worthington Cup Final is taking place next Sunday between Liverpool and Manchester Utd. Over the last 6 games, Liverpool have the edge over United but could United follow up their win from the December 1st match?

I'll be going next week, and I can't wait. The Millenium Stadium is the greatest stadium in the UK and is a fine venue for the Final. Liverpool-Man Utd matches are always special and with a Cup at stake, should be even tastier. :)

Who will win - Liverpool or Man Utd?

Cheers.

Well...I have to pick Liverpool don't I! :D

Our defence is solid again but there are always goals in the L'Pool/Utd matches. In the midfield, we will have Stevie Gerrard back alongside Hamann and Murphy. In Diouf at right midfield we have the attacking option.

Hopefully Owen will score tomorrow to lead him into a scoring spell heading into the Final. Heskey is playing well at the moment. Baros who most likely will be on the bench is out best striker and would cause a lot more problems to the United defence.

We will edge it 3-2. :D

Cheers.

I'm supporting Liverpool in tha final, and hope they win!.. 2-1 to Liverpool! :)

Liverpool all the way! :xyx
Don't care, Mickey Mouse Cup. :P
I do really, but at the moment I have this supersticious thing about predicting matches I have an interest in, so i'm staying out of it.
This will be one match that Man Utd will be hungry to win. It may be only for a small cup but its against Liverpool and it is something for the trophy cabinet. Im going for Man Utd all the way, come oooooon!!! :D
I hope Liverpool win as I think United are only interested in that competition when it suits them.
Should be a great match but im going with Man U but it will be close
hmmmmmmm well Man united for sures, but they have played pretty bad since the man city game and i couldnt believe when i seen the highlights of the bolton match they have a good load od chances but i`ll go for 3-1 to United

At the moment, the fine folk of TWO think we will beat Man Utd. Let's hope it's true.

Will any predictions points be on offer for this match? ;)

Congrats to Liverpool!, i bet Pabster is one happy bunny!, it's always sweeter on the long journey home if your team have won!.. anyway a good game and a loverly first goal! :)
Hardcore, when have Liverpool ever not been interested in the League Cup? From what I can recall they have always treated that competition with respect unlike the Manchester Uniteds and Arsenals of this world.
Man Utd were the better side, we had so many chances but Dudek was on form, I have to give credit to him. Liverpool had less chances but managed to score with the chances they had, helped by a Beckham deflection. All in all, Man Utd didnt deserve to lose 2-0. 1-0 wasn t bad but 2-0 was just rubbing salt in wounds! Anyway, bring on the Champions League, its coming to Old Trafford!!

Wasn't exactly a attractive performance by Liverpool but they defended well (with Dudek standing out the most) and credit to them, a lot of luck with the first goal (its the 3rd time in 3 weeks Beckham has deflected the ball into his own net) but the second goal was taken well and killed the game, very frustrating to watch as a Utd fan because I felt if Utd could draw level it was clear they would go to win it. As disappointed as I was Smicer miss was hilarious, at least Giggs and Acimovic managed to hit the damn ball.

Last season when they had Champions League comitments.

What went wrong for Man Utd???? Better possession, generally a stronger side in the game and somehow Liverpool won it 2-0!!!

Thats F'N bad, look, I'm a lifelong Man Utd fan and I'm real ticked off about that, poor, abysmal, and c**p fits the game perfectly today.

But, now that Alex's boys lost the Worthington Cup, its time to focus on catching Arsenal and taking the Premiership home as I think Man Utd will not win the Championship League.

I expect there'll be another "Flying Boot" Incident today (another joke.......mind)

I feel this would be a good time to take back the comments I made in my second post in this thread and go along with the comments I made in the first one. :xyx
