Yay or Nay: Goldberg

An idea I stole from another forum, but meh, who cares. Might as well get some good opinions out of you all. Basically I name a wrestler (usually a legend or an Indy star or so on, not usually WWE) and you give your opinion on him/them as wrestlers and as entertainers and how they were in YOUR eyes, as opposed to what others think of them or so on. Did you mark for them? DId you hate them? Etc etc etc.

So lets start with the man of great controversy: Goldberg. What do you think of him? What did you think of him in WCW? Did he really make WCW? Did you mark for the spear? Or did the jackhammer make you cringe? Would you like to see him back in WCW?

Take it from here :)

Don't have much of an opinion, but I would like to see him in the WWE.

Vadar

Vader was the man for years, definately one of WCW's top heels. His matches with Sting were uniformly ace, as were his bouts with Cactus Jack and others. It's a pity Old Father Time has gotten to him and he isn't quite the grappler that he used to be.

Dusty Rhodes.

WHOA horsies.. I didn't actually mean for it to work out quite like tha... y'know what, could be fun, actually. Go for it.

Dusty: Legend no doubt, with the betht pwomos in da werlllld, if ya weeel!!! Never seen his major fights back in the NWA with Flair yet although I plan to, but I saw him at WM6 with Sweet Saphire, and at WCW Nitro in that Kiss my Ass's Ass match thing with Dustin against Jarrett and Flair. Hopefully he can benefit NWATNA in the short run.

Erm... Sid Vicious/Psycho Sid/Sid Justice

I would say that early 90's, Sid could have been a draw. However, I was always of the opinion that he should not have been as high up as he was, although that is not tarnishing his talent what so ever.

Sting

Sting..

Very good technical wrestler, but his gimmick got a bit stale. Liked his numerous feuds with Vampiro in late WCW, and I hope the rumours about coming to WWE are true.

Andre The Giant

Andre seemed to be the personification of the big man, just a total legend of the 80's. Loved his fueds with Hogan

A.J Styles

AJ Styles? Just check my sig :xyx

Wow! This guy really is The Phenom. He has lots of confidence in himself, noticed when he told Vince he would rather stay in TNA.

One of the main reasons for my obsessive following of NWA-TNA (Just ask Si :xyx)

Got the talent, got the look, got the charism, got the fan base. I love his cocky gimmick he has.

If this guy is not a major player in the industry in years to come, It'll be the biggest misplacement of talent ever.

Hacksaw Jom Duggan :sleep1

Jom Duggan?

Anyhoo

Jim Duggan, the thief he is still has the TV championship. And he sucks. Plus he had the most annoying interview on LoW II.

Jeff Jarrett!

Jim Duggan; alledgedly quite a talent when he started out in AWA, though I've never seen any of his matches from this period. If so, I don't know what happened.

As a young mark, I hated all of his matches ending with that bloody plank of wood he kept hitting people with, especially as we were meant to cheer him doing it when similar behaviour by a heel was put over as a villainous outrage. His wrestling stank, his bland patriotic persona was as one-dimensional and moronic as they come.. everything that is worst about American wrestling is personified in the figure of Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Earthquake

Since Colin and I posted together, though he just beat me to it, I'll answer his to balance it out again.

Jeff Jarrett - 2nd generation with all the priviledges and advantages that entails, but also with the work ethic, respect for the business and ability to run with the ball that comes from the best 2nd G. stars. Is not as good at playing politics as he thinks he is (when not working for his Dad), with WWE bearing the brunt of his hissy-fit bridge-burning exercises in the past.

So, I guess it's time for Earthquake :p

Earthquake......right let me see...........

Not a great worker but certainly had the "over" with the fans after his attack on Hulk Hogan about 10 - 12 years ago which had me in tears (I was 5 or 6 then now I'm 18) and his apparent "crushing" of Damien the snake.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!.......The Quake!!! it was a funny finisher IMO.

If he didnt mean Bob Holly i just wasted my time

Scott Hall

Scott Hall - An alcoholic prat, who makes failed to last more than a few weeks when making his come back. He needs Kevin Nash to make him look good and has gone downhill since the good old days of Razor Ramon.

Wasted talent with tonnes of charisma and who could be a bona fide main eventer in NWA:TNA if they gave him more time. Not as cool a name as K-Kwik but still a young, talented athlete. Hasn't reached his prime yet.
