What are your peeves when it comes to gaming?

Right now, mine is buying a game for my PS3, coming home, putting in the game and being slapped with a gigabyte patch. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

When playing COD online having like 20 high pitched voice kids screaming down the mic at you
DLCs, particularly the Wardens Keep DLC in DA:O, which is the only way to get access to a storage chest. Especially as the DLC's may land up costing more than the actual game when it's bought second hand.
My own personal peeve, is when im online, im no hardcore gamer, I love games, always have, but I dont play them to be "the best" per se. I play them for the love of the game, the experience itself. Its why i enjoy RPG's in particular. I hate it when people try to give you advice on how to get incredibly hard to get, obscure achievements that i, in all honesty, will probably never see, or be interested in seeing. I admit, i play games on easy, i dont think FPS are the centre of the universe, so hey, im "casual". Sue me.

I'm sure in this era, that is actually something you can be sued over. Now give me half your stuff.

Hang on, you're getting CoD fans lambasting you for being a 'casual' RPG player? CoD is one of the most casually played games on the planet, and while you're playing for the new experiences gaming can give you, they're doing the same thing day in day out to watch their virtual number go up without much to show for it besides bragging rights.

My peeve is excessive swearing and vulgarity, it can really ruin a game that I might otherwise had played through (Bulletstorm) and it doesn't do the image of the gamer as an immature, trash-loving nerd any good. I mean, dicktits. Seriously

I found bulletstorm funny, it was basically one of the dumb 80's/early 90's action movies in videogame form, with an awesome combo system.

I have another annoyance, games where single player has zero substance and is reduced to a glorified tutorial for MP irritate me.

Trophy (or achievement) *****s.

Not so much in people having a game, enjoying it and deciding to collect the trophies. I mean the people who buy a game just because it has easy or a lot of trophies to up their level

PS3 / xBox 360 games in general. They're all flashy crap. Style over substance. I pretty much despise every PS3 game I've ever played.

I miss games with gameplay first, graphics second. I'm too old for games in general, I think :/

No.

Thats terrible.

Will you marry me? :)

My peeve is when I cannot return to an area after "finishing it". There may be a door or something I want to explore but because I triggered some cutscene, my character has now moved to a new area/zone, and I cannot return.

Cue loading in a previous save just to explore one roomand find a "small health potion" or something :(

Thats terrible.

No.

Well will you give me a beat?

This. If it's not a patch it's just installing the game to the HDD that causes a delay.

I also have a very low intolerance for people who quit playing during a FIFA game, they normally get a sarcastic message from me. Also, people who have microphones on for no reason whatsoever and aren't using them.

In a sort of gaming note I also don't like it when one of my cats starts chewing my PS3 power cable.

And another thing, why does the music for PS3 games on the main screen have to be so loud? You put a game in and it just BLARES music out much louder than your TV is set to.

And you know what? TROPHIES. Why are they so important? And when I get one why can't I be told WHAT I'VE DONE TO WARRANT IT. I'm done now.
