No big problems with the list...Though, I do have some.

Edge shouldn't be higher than HHH.

Hogan is too low... People still quote Hogan to this day.

Top 4 is literally perfect in my opinion.

So, how do you feel?

Another silly, worthless top-whatever list of guys WWE has put out. The usual nonsense.

I cant believe HBK wasnt even mentioned on this list. If i had to choose a top 5 it would go

1. Stonecold steve austin

2. The rock

3. Ric flair

4. Bobby heenan

5. Jake roberts.

I cant belive hogan ranked so low and triple hhh. I would of picked mic foley for a little bit higher as well, at least top 10.

I haven't seen the list, but, my personal top five would be;

1 - Stone Cold Steve Austin

2 - The Rock

3 - Vince McMahon

4 - Mick Foley

5 - CM Punk

Edge and Christian always seem to get really highly rated on these lists and yet neither have ever done anything for me outside of their tag work. I thought they were unbelievably good as a tag team, both inside the ring and out, going back to their Brood days. I can't think of any singles matches which stood out though and their promos are mind numbingly boring, even though both are pretty charismatic.

Edge is popping up on a lot of these lists nowadays mainly because he was just put in the HOF and they're pushing the idea that he's a Legend of this generation.

He wouldnt be on a list of mine because he's not my cup of tea, but I think dismissing his entire singles career is a bit harsh - he main evented constantly for half a decade and had a bunch of memorable matches and assorted things.

To me the Rock is the best talker followed by SCSA and then Mick foley

Christian v Orton x any of their 2011 matches.

When HBK isn't on their you know something is wrong.

Edge's mic work from 2005 onwards was fantastic, especially during his proper Rated R run.

That being said, is he a top 5 talker? No way

I'd of had this for my list.

1. The Rock

2. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts

3. Rowdy Roddy Piper

4. Stone Cold Steve Austin

5. The Undertaker

6. Mick Foley

7. Ric Flair

8. John Cena

9. Chris Jericho

10. JBL

Is he really up there for best talkers though? I wouldnt think so on first glance. He's good of course but not really GOAT material either. There's nothing that stands out from him, I guess apart from saying dickish things when he was f*cking around on the mic.

I love Shawn a million miles more than Hunter, and I do think Hunter is overrated on promos, but still I think Hunter is clearly the better mic worker.

I really liked Shawn's mic work during the recent Cena/HHH/Flair/Taker feuds. Plus his 97-98 work was good as well.

Hunter always delivers well and get's to the point but I always feel that Shawn say's it with more meaning.

The last thing Hunter ever does is get to the point :P

And I'm not saying Shawn is bad by any means, I like him just fine on the mic, but we're talking about the greatest ever and to me he's not that. There are a bunch of guys who are far more memorable and better.

Even with his recent work with Hunter and Taker, his contribution to those angles has been non-verbal, more than anything else. His expressions are what were selling those segments, not his promos.

I'm not saying he's the best ever but I feel he deserves to be on the list

But there's not "something very wrong" that he's not on there, is my point - its not like he's a slam dunk pick.

I think there are easily 25 better talkers to list before him.

Agree to disagree
Piper was/is so overrated its not even funny. His promos were shit! His stupid high pitched voice where all he did was talk nonsense, it was trash. Piper is not only not one of the best talkers, he's one of the worst promos I've ever had the displeasure of listening to in my entire time as a wrestling fan. He's f*cking awful!
Huh, didnt see that one coming.
I hate Piper. His God-awful, nonsensical promos aside, he was a rubbish wrestler too, his matches were crap for the most part unless he was in there with somebody who could carry him. He also had a shit look. Really, Piper had nothing going for him for me, he looked worst than the no-name jobbers of the era, he worked just as bad and he couldnt talk. People say Warrior made no sense, Piper was even worse. Garbage.
I have to agree, Piper always seems to be telling a story that no one knows or can even comprehend.

I thought his recent Piper Pit segments with Cena, Miz / Riley, Bryan / AJ etc were very good. Especially the John Cena Pit.

"Do you feel the energy!" :lol
