We've generally not changed our announce team too much over the years, generally sticking with JR and someone or we did have Cole and Taz I think.

However I think these days I rarely see people writing JR as JR and Heyman is just a colourles co-commentator when he should be the heel to JR's face.

So, perhaps now is as good a time as any to swap around the commentary team. I want your suggestions on who and how many please and also thoughts on whether we should allow dead or very old commentators (Monsoon or Heenan for example) or if you think we should come up with a totally original team of TWOStars commentator either old superstars or new original guys.

Start posting you crazy people.

I think we should keep Heyman as a commentator. He has been around since before my time and it just feels as if he has been there to witness so much TWOStars history, kind of like King for WWE. I personally do like the team of JR/Heyman, more so than Styles and Heyman but if a change is needed then I really like the idea of bringing in old TWOStars superstars for commentating.
how about we make our own commentary team based on particular people like heyman?

I have considered Zombie Damon Kori as an option because it would amuse me...

I'd quite like it to be two new commentators, but like Ruderz said, make them TWOStars-centric instead of us just using two existing commentators?

Personally I'd like us to have all the broadcast staff be original to TWO instead of always going with Josh Matthews, Todd Grisham, and others.

I'd even go for something like Brice Perrino and Boyo on Commentary, then make up a couple of backstage interviewer types for everyone to use?

In my mind it'd be something a bit like this:

Commentary Team: Boyo & Brice Perrino

Interviewers: Charlotte DeMignotta, Work Experience Boy, Lil' Mike.

Referees: Pfft? I dunno about this.

Road Agents: Jimmy Redman, Incredible Holt, Twiggie

Something like that maybe?

Boyo and Perrino on commentary would be awesome.

I have no issue with Perrino as the heel colour guy, the who bro-ism thing is good for those with a creative streak.

I'm not sold on Boyo as the Face guy, he's a very unorthodox character that doesn't really lend him to being a nice easy to write for face guy.

I'd be ok with a three man team if we can have someone more as the straight man and the a pugnacious face to counter the sneer of Perrino.

you can use paul gray if you want for whatever means
How about Gringo as the face?

I'd love Gringo a a colour Face, he'd be perfectly balance Perrino and he's easy to write as.

So far i'm going with

Face straight man - ?????

Heel Colour - Brice perrino

Face Colour - Evil Gringo

I was considering Kyle Gilmore but maybe the play by play guy could be a brand new character?

Just think of the ese's and bro's. I enjoyed writing with Joey Styles.

We should just bring in a generic play by play guy and build his "character" from the ground up, I reckon?

The TWOStars equivalent of maybe someone like Scott Stanford? Solid play by play guy, not above goofing around for backstage videos for guys, usually works as some kind of mediator between the Gringo and Perrino?

Incidentally, Gringo is an inspired choice for face commentary. :D

I'm random naming the new guy so far the leading contenders are:

Jaxon Laurenz Blakeslee

Crawford Winfield

and

Maverick Buster Anthonyson

:D

I'm looking forward to seeing how you book the change. Can see it being better then the J Rock/Styles story.

The new guy is going to be Jaxon Blakeslee and I think use The Coach as his base. Sound good?
when we putting these guys in? i made have an idea for you megz for em

Woah, just stumbled upon this thread and am genuinely thrilled that ol' Boyo was even mentioned as a commentary guy as that has been one of my little daydreams :lol

I have to side with Omega though, insomuch that Boyo is a tricky guy to write for. Even though he'd be in his element calling all the complex holds and whatnot, he's naturally a sarcastic and too light-hearted and that would affect his ability to really blow his top when the big sh*t goes down in the main events. You'd be much better off with JR, who's easily the best for the job.

I do think Boyo would work pretty well as the co-commentator though. He'd naturally look down his nose at one group and talk up the other group, depending on whether you had him as a face or heel. I do think that Boyo would work best as an interviewer though, a David Frost-a-like sit down guy who really gets these guys to open up.

Cheers!

Would you be happy to have Ol' Boyo be our Lord Alfred Hayes? I'd love it personally.

What did he do? I remember him presenting a recap show and offering his opinions on stuff, before now and again interviewing the wrestlers before a big match. I'd be more than happy for Boyo to be that kinda guy, a bit of a wind-up merchant to get the wrestlers wound-up before it all kicks off. Feel free :xyx

Cheers!

I've updates the Non-wrestler thread (yes, there is one folks, go check the profiles section) with the names of our new staff. I'll be slowly rolling out the changes over the next show or two so try and hold off using them until you've read a promo with Winter or the Anon GM announcing them.

Pff.

Should have been Boyo, Sickness and Gringo. XD
