We had a thread like this awhile back and it proved popular, so tell me good people of TWO, what was the TOUGHEST game ye ever played?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES was rock hard. Micro Machines on the megadrive cost me a controller.

I think the most infuriating was Parappa the Rapper. They translated it to English, but didn't change the timing from the original Japanese, so it was a b*tch to play. I only managed to get 3 levels in before I gave up.

 

Compare it to something like Gitaroo Man, and you can see how much of a shoddy translate job they did.

Snake

Dune 2 when playing as any other class than the Harkonnen. always fine right up until the last level where you played against both other races and the Harkonnen's palace would nuke your bases every 30 seconds.

I know I'm gonna catch hell for this and I'm not even kidding - Battletoads. That speeder bike level was impossible.

The very first Metroid was hard as hell too but at least I eventually beat that one.

Chucky Egg on the Amstrad

Inverkeithing High in the senior school Fife cup. I was playing right back and their left winger was lightening quick.

One of the hardest things to do on any game was to score a free kick on PES.

Head over Heels, oh my god, that game caused my very first ever gamer rage! :)

You're talking about MKII I almost guarantee it. That was the first game with Shao Kahn and he was ridiculously overpowered. I beat his ass soundly with Scorpion, Barakakakakaka and Kung Lao. Of course I spent countless hours in an arcade pumping tokens into that thing till my skills were razor sharp. Still never did better than 2nd place in 1v1 tournaments.
