Elite British Wrestling Championship Match: "The Real Deal" Kriss Ace © vs "The Demolition Man" Mikey Van Riot

While he may have come through the unenviable gauntlet of not one, but two challenges to his title at Rhythm and Bruise, that's no reason for Ace to expect the chance to rest on his laurels. Having won the 30-Man Rumble at the same event in the most controversial of circumstances, Mikey Van Riot was granted the right to challenge for an EBW championship at any time within the next twelve months. But being the man that he is, Van Riot wasted no time in getting into the face of the reigning champion and making his intentions clear. Mere days later, Van Riot forced his way into the EBW offices and demanded to be given his match at the earliest opportunity, and now he will face Kriss Ace for the EBW title at Wrath Upon Dearne II.

Breaking News: Due to the controversial nature of "The Demolition Man" Mikey Van Riot's victory in the 30-Man Rumble and his acts of unprovoked violence towards "The Real Deal" Kriss Ace on numerous occasions, the EBW Championship Committee has been left with no choice but to impose special rules upon their match at Wrath Upon Dearne II.

The match will be conducted, for the very first time in EBW history, under what are being termed "Prison Rules", which consist of the following stipulations:

- There will be no disqualifications

- There will be no count-outs

- There will be no referee stoppages

- The match will only end in either pinfall or submission

On the face of it, this may seem more like a reward than a punishment for Van Riot, who excels at dishing out abuse and shows scant regard for the rules of an EBW ring. But on the other hand, these stipulations relieve the normally fair-playing Ace of the need to hold back from allowing the anger and frustration which has been building up inside of him from spilling out in the confines of the match. Will this match work in the challenger's favor, or will he unleash a lion in the form of the long-baited champion?

Additional Announcement: Disgruntled in the extreme after his unceremonious exit from the 30-Man Rumble at Rhythm and Bruise, former EBW champion "Dangerous" Danny Debris has been open and scathing in his criticism of both "The Demolition Man" Mikey Van Riot for what he perceives as an underhand act of cheating before a capacity audience, and EBW officials for failing to notice the same thing happening right before their eyes.

In response, the EBW Championship Committee feels that they have been as fair as possible in their investigation into these claims, explaining to both to Debris and the fans that while there were differing opinions as to just what happened at the end of the 30-Man Rumble, the officials in attendance called the match as they saw it and according to EBW regulations, their decision cannot be challenged after the event.

EBW is sad to have to announce that due to his failure to accept this decision, Debris will therefore not be competing at Wrath Upon Dearne II, and furthermore has been banned from attendance at the venue as well.

Rhythm & Bruise Rematch: Rick Wildfire vs Charles Cornelius St John 3rd "The Gentleman Brawler"

Although the match was a last minute addition to the Rhythm and Bruise card, the meeting between Rick Wildfire (also marking his Elite British Wrestling debut in the same match) and St John (also a relative newcomer to the EBW roster), it proved to be a clash of differing styles that truly did set the ring alight.

Believing in his own natural superiority and fine breeding to be enough to win the day, St John still chose to make use of various questionable tactics and the aid of his loyal gentleman's gentleman to gain an advantage over the seasoned in-ring skills of the veteran Wildfire.

St John may have come away with the initial victory in their very first encounter, but as anyone who has followed the storied career of Wildfire will tell you, he's not a man to either repeat a mistake or fail to learn from a defeat and he seldom succumbs to the same tricks twice.

So when the two meet again at Wrath Upon Dearne II, St John will be looking to confirm his reputation and Wildfire will, in contrast, be looking to ruin it.

EBW Catch Championship Match: "The Shooting Star" Kris Travis © vs "The Iceman" Sam Goodison

Despite failing to take the number one title in EBW from around the waist of "The Real Deal" Kriss Ace at Rhythm and Bruise, Sam Goodison still managed to excel by competing in three separate matches in one day and then even went on to put in a strong showing in the 30 Man Rumble at the end of the night. Little wonder then that he was chosen as the man to challenge Kris Travis for the Catch Championship only one month later in Wath, a fitting event to mark the year's anniversary of the night on which he won the very same belt in the Montgomery Hall, and you can be sure that Goodison will be looking for history to repeat itself and a second reign as EBW Catch Champion.

Of course there's always a but, and in this case it comes in the form of the incomparable Kris Travis, a star renowned from one end of the country to the other as a premiere talent and perhaps the best wrestler that the UK has produced for quite some time. This will be Travis' first defence of the belt that he won on the last occasion that the EBW visited Wath's Montgomery Hall, and there's no way he will do anything but give it his all to end Goodison's title aspirations and cement his reputation as the man who plans to be holding onto the gold for a long time yet to come.

EBW Tag Team Championship Rematch: "Mean Machine" Mark Sanders & "The Phenomenal" Caleb Crow © vs "Hot Blooded" Dom Black & Ryan Lee

At times the action and in-ring chaos at Rhythm and Bruise meant that it was hard to keep track of just who benefited from the outcome of the matches and who was left bereft in defeat. The possession of the EBW Tag Team Championship was one of the prizes up for grabs, with multiple teams in the running for the gold, but when the dust had settled, it was the unconventional team of Mark Sanders and Caleb Crow who ended up with the belts around their waists.

But even so, they managed this feat only by the skin of their teeth after overcoming the challenge of the reigning champions in the form of the Insane Frown Posse and then retaining on the very same night against the equally untried team of Dom Black and Ryan Lee. And one thing that came out of the second match was the realization that the new champions will not have to look very far for their closest rivals as they begin the task of defending their titles in earnest.

But why wait for a second meeting between these two teams when Wrath Upon Dearne II represents the first available opportunity to see the same kind of explosive action in the ring again? And why not make the match for the EBW Tag Team Championship?

One thing is for sure, and that is that at Wrath Upon Dearne II it will either be proven that Sanders and Crow are true championship material, or their success will be shown up for a fluke and Black and Lee will prove what they believe to be the truth: that they should be the ones with the belts around their waists and the plaudits that come with being the top team in Elite British Wrestling.

Rhythm & Bruise Rematch: "Solid" John Green vs "The Original" Jacob Page

Though he salvaged some pride thanks to his victory over Radu Bulat in the Flag Match at Rhythm and Bruise, The Solid One still came away with two marks against his name in the losses column on the same day. Anyone who knows anything about John Green will tell you that he represents an athlete who holds himself to the highest possible standards and the record of those losses will be on his mind as he goes into Wrath Upon Dearne II with the chance to regain some measure of pride against at least one of those opponents.

But Jacob Page is not the kind of competitor who will be coming into this rematch with any notion of allowing Green to even the score. While some were content to focus on the fact that "The Iceman" Sam Goodison appeared at ringside and distracted Green at a crucial moment in their match, it takes more than a simple distraction to take advantage of a grappler as skilled and canny as "The Solid One" and the fact that he was able to snatch a win in those circumstances was as much thanks to the wits of Jacob Page as anything else.

Will Green prove that his previous loss was a fluke, or will Page repeat his victory and expose a kink in the armour of "The Solid One"?

Results from the night:

"The Romanian Sniper" Radu Bulat pinned Joey Degenerate.

"Solid" John Green defeated "The Original" Jacob Page in their Rhythm & Bruise rematch.

"The Iceman" Sam Goodison forced "Shooting Star" Kris Travis to tap out with a Scorpion Deathlock to win his second EBW Catch Championship.

"The Red-Blooded Males" team of "Hot Blooded" Dom Black and Ryan Lee defeated "Mean Machine" Mark Sanderson and "The Phenomenal" Caleb Crow to take the EBW Tag Team Championship.

"The Gentleman Brawler" Charles Cornelius St John 3rd succumbed to a top-rope Frog Splash, allowing Rick Wildfire to even the score between the two and win their Rhythm & Bruise rematch.

"The Demolition Man" Mikey Van Riot took advantage of the "Prison Rules" stipulations in order to pin "The Real Deal" Kris Ace and become not only the new EBW Heavyweight Champion, but also the first Triple Crown Champion in the history of the company, though some in attendance (not least Ace himself) have voiced concerns about the speed of the count that won Van Riot the match.
