August 26, 201410 yr You can get more for right around that price point. They don't tend to last though.
August 26, 201410 yr A few people I know have gotten them, seems like issues in the manufacturing of the cartridge slots. Shame, really.
August 26, 201410 yr You could probably just buy a NES, SNES and Mega Drive for less and keep your cool points.
August 26, 201410 yr Does it play UK, US & Japanese games? If that's the case then it may be worth the £100, but if not then it would actually be cheaper to just buy the old consoles second hand. I think my Megadrive (console, 2 Competition Pro 6 button pads, 2 standard 3 button pads, and around 5o cartridges) cost me £35.
August 27, 201410 yr I still have my original NES from christmas '89, my SNES from christmas '93 and the Mega Drive 2 we bought in '95 when the release of the Saturn drove the price down. £100 saved. I still clear Zelda on my SNES once a year because it is my favourite game of all time.
August 27, 201410 yr Most certainly Link to the Past and it is up there for me as the best of all time with Red Dead.
August 27, 201410 yr I just get nostalgia pops because Link to the Past was the first "big" game that I completed as a kid without having to check tip guides. That game was a beast!
August 27, 201410 yr There were no guides back then and no internet - back then you had to ring the official nintendo helpline at 50p a minute using the number in the back of the instruction manual. Had to ring it for Time Lord on the NES for the Wild West level.
August 27, 201410 yr Or wait until they did a guide in GamesMaster or CVG. Back when CVG was still Computer + Video Games.
