Yes I know we have a Golf thread but this is the MOFO RYDER CUP so this is getting threaded up bitches.

First tee off time is 7.35 Friday morning.

Who ye fancy for it?, I'm saying a convincing Europe win.

Massive European win Poulter to get 5 points. The postman will deliver again.

I'm backing USA, both financially and as a supporter. Fancy Fowler for top scorer.

USA! USA! USA!

Europe for me. McIlroy as top scorer, Phil as US top scorer.

G-Mac looking f*cking boss.

Pretty much can't stand most of the European team, but I do bloody love me some Macdowell.

Looking forward to watchin dubuisson think he's a cracking player, not playing on the first morning tho, tough call who will win as both teams are very strong this year, I hope Europe edges it and my fellow Scot Gallacher has a good tournament, poulter too

So much for"The Postman", he and Gallacher got battered.
He's been out of form for a while now poulter, hope he bounces back tomorrow
Boom, get in Phil. Love seeing Mcilroy lose.

I hate these tee times. Much prefer it when it's in the states.

Rory and Sergio somehow managed to get half a point there. They probably deserved it after that putt from Rory on the 17th though, amazing.

Hate the European Ryder cups too, I've missed basically the whole day because of work, only got in to see Sergio and Rory steal a half point with some lovely golf, good recovery from Europe, wonder if poulter will be out tomorrow after today's mauling

He's paired with Rory tomorrow, could be a good call.

Looks like the States could be leading going into the afternoon.
It's going to be all square isn't it? Bjorn's loss makes it 6-5 and if Poulter and Rory lose that makes it 6-6 all going into the afternoon foursomes.

Yeah still a bit sleepy mate :lol
I'd love to see it level at the end of the day as well, I've no money on it so don't care who wins really as I like a few players from both teams. Going into tomorrow 8-8 would be amazing to watch.
I think if it does come down to Europe needing to win the singles, then given the way some of the players are playing at the moment I really this is the American's cup to win. They need to avoid losing more then 2 of the four balls this afternoon and then they have a great shot.
It's finely balanced but I think Europe are superior foursomes players/partners than the Americans and should win this afternoons session but I hope I'm not made to eat my words tho!

Looks like at the moment it is going to end going into the final day of singles as Europe on 10pts and the USA on 5.5 which means Europe would not be too far off winning it.

Just the afternoon at the moment that the US wanted to avoid.

EDIT: Also Westwood has now won more Ryder Cup points for Europe then the great Seve Ballesteros (23 to 22.5).

This is going well we just have to get four points now your retain. We should do this hoping The lads who are playing well keep it up for one more match.

As has been said before, this could be going a lot worse for Europe and a lot better for America if Tom Watson had made some better decisions regarding who was playing and when. He's benched guys and misplaced them in his line up here and there over the two days which has helped Europe bounce back hard in the afternoon sessions and turn the momentum back to them.

Still it's not over yet - remember Brookline anyone?
