Do we have a rugby thread? I couldn't see one.

Either way, did anyone try applying for tickets for next year's World Cup? I got my confirmation today for USA vs. South Africa, USA vs. Samoa, France vs. Canada and France vs. Romania.

We do now :)
Didn't know you were a Rugby guy Hancock? I confess it to be my one sporting blindspot. Don't know a thing about it and never watch it.
I'm not really a fan, but it's the World Cup, and all those games are within an hour and a half drive, so I might as well pop along for the experience, especially as it's countries I support anyway.

Just made my annual bet that Wales will win there Autumn international matches and that England will lose to everyone apart from Samoa. I know in Wales case I have just lost a fiver but if I stop now it will be the year Wales beat everyone. Case in point for 20 years I put a bet for AP McCoy the only year I did not bet he went on to win. All my friends made a fortune as they immediately put bets on as they thought he would win as I was not betting.

I think England can beat Australia depending on which version of the Wallabies turns up, but South Africa with that pack and New Zealand, being well, New Zealand should beat us.

Should be close though, but that's not a bad bet to be honest Laffy, after all England are either awesome or terrible, they have no in between when it comes to results in the Autumn games

Going to Murrayfield today for Scotland vs. New Zealand.

Should be a hammering, but still excited! :D

Wales were rubbish they won but the game was soooooo boring it stalled for about 40 minutes.
From what I heard Scotland played really well tonight

Aye, we were neck and neck with them, one point in it, for a while. Then the big guns for the Kiwis came on and they seemed to go up a gear we just didn't have. A lot closer than I expected, and we played a HELL of a lot better than we did against a quality side last time. All very promising.

On a personal note, seeing the Haka done live is something that's always been on my bucket list. The atmosphere at Murrayfield tonight was phenomenal; the idea of turning the lights out and having people use their phones to light the stadium was great, and the lone piper walking into the darkness playing Highland Cathedral was genuine goosebump inducing.

Not sure how I feel about the 6 nations now being shared between ITV and BBC but glad it is staying on free to view tv. I hate though with a passion ITV's rugby coverage there is something weird about their attitude towards rugby even though they share the world cup and British Lions.
