Posted June 15, 20159 yr E3 is under way and amid all the expected game reveals (Halo 5, Dead Souls 3, Fallout 4) and a new XBone controller, the big new and one that could swing the sales of XBox One upwards; Backwards compatibility of both digital and retail software.
June 15, 20159 yr Author HOLY SHIT!! I have never bought a multi-player shooter and don't play the multi-player options on first-person shooters that have it as an extra, but I will definitely be breaking the habit for this.
June 15, 20159 yr Author I'm thinking it's going to be better to give each story their own post (for ease of quoting). The Division (a game I'm really looking forward to) will be having an open beta on XBone in December with the PS4 and PC betas to follow "some time next year".
June 15, 20159 yr Author Mass Effect 4 will be released in "Holiday 2016" (which normally means Christmas) and will be titled Mass Effect: Andromeda. You can view the announcement trailer here.

June 16, 20159 yr Author Microsoft announcing backwards compatability and the Minecraft Hololens demo would suggest otherwise...The Last Guardian, Heavy Rain Remastered, SHENMUE 3 (kinda), No Man's Sky, Uncharted 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Street Fighter V alongside Final Fantasy 7 all cause me to lean towards the Sony side of the fence.
June 16, 20159 yr Sony are getting me most excited, but I might have to re-buy myself an XB1 for some of their goodies too. Tomb Raider, yes please. I'm not waiting to see if it ever comes to PS4, I need that on launch! Edited June 17, 20159 yr by The Beltster
June 17, 20159 yr They're remastering Heavy Rain now? It's official, the bottom of the barrel has been hit. I'm really interested in The Division, that looks like it could be fun. And obviously I'll be all over Last Guardian when it's released. I mean, it's not as if I've already been waiting 8 frigging years for it. I'm hoping No Man's Sky can live up to the hype, but Sony only giving them 3 minutes is worrying. I thought we'd get to see a lot more than they showed us. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks great, and actually has tombs, yay! I'm excited for the FFVII remake, but I can't pin all my excitement on a remake of an old PS1 game, regardless of how good it was back in the day. I think the one announcement that genuinely had me hyped was that we're getting a new South Park game. After listening to the interviews where Matt and Trey said they were never making another game, that was a pleasant surprise. Tech-wise, that Hololens demo blew my mind. If that is genuinely how it works, then that could well be a game changer (excuse the pun). If we're talking about technological advancement and the future of gaming, then that little Minecraft demo is winning E3 so far.
