Does anyone play clash of clans? If so how far have you gotten? Is anyone looking for a clan? Or do you have your own clan?

I think I'm addicted to it :lol It's a really fun game and you definitely get hooked if you're in a good clan and enjoy the wars. At the moment, I'm a TH9 after upgrading a month or so ago and I just finished upgrading my splash defences and xbows, so I'm now focusing a bit more on my heroes which were only level 8 and 10. I always keep a builder free to work on walls too and I'm over half way to getting level 9 walls but there's still such a long way to go before I move up to TH10. I maxed everything at TH8 and I'll continue to do that, even though it'll take forever upgrading walls.

 

My current attack strategy is the shattered LaLoon, which is to use a golem from the clan castle and wizards to take out an air defence and Archer Queen and then go in with Lava Hounds and Balloons to clear up the rest. It's a really effective strategy for me at the moment and I feel like I'm punching above my weight with it.

Im currently going to th9 with my main account and at th7 with my alt. Got about 3 days left til th9. My aim is to have 6mil gold and 40k dark to get my queen and xbows asap. Then get everything else to max th8 lvl before starting the upgrades for th9. I just BARCH or BAM for raiding but dragoon for war. Seems to work quite well.

 

I maxed everything on th8 except walls and small bombs. Barb king needs 1 more lvl as well but i got impatient.

The constant adverts for it on most sites I visit annoy the living shit out of me :lol

 

It's normally a game I'd play as I love ancient war and battles but can't seem to be won over by it to give it a try

The ads are really funny once you have played the game a bit. You should definately give it a go Fury.

Just finished upgrading to TH9. both xbows building and queen built. also got spell factory going up which has screwed me for the war im in currently. Slowly building the other bits and pieces so I can design a base. Also managed to push queen to level 2. I really need my 5th builder right about now.

I can never get into Mobile Games, I played max payne and that was ok, Football Manager is good on the mobile but limited, and much of these other games like clash, i just hate the micro transactions and adverts, Score is an ok game.

Sounds good, mate. Getting the Queen up to level 5 is important, especially for wars because of her ability. Mine is going up to 10 at the moment, although I'm struggling to get dark elxiir without both heroes and dark troops being upgraded all the time too.

 

Have you thought about what strategy you'll use for war at TH9? All dragons doesn't really work because of the added air defence, so maybe you could switch to something like golems/PEKKA or maybe hogs?

Mines called pie and chips. Im currently using dragoon and have 3 starred a few th9s but will probably switch to gowipe if im struggling. Especially now ill have my jump spell unlocked.

 

Every bit of dark i get is going to go into my queen until she gets her ability. Will then get my king to lvl 10 to get his lvl 2 ability.

 

What do you think of the dark spells? I like the poison spell but thats about it.

No adverts in clash jay. Also there is nothing in the game u need to buy. U can earn gems in game by just playing the game.

Clash is good fun. You can play as much or as little as you like it just depends how fast you wanna progress through the game.

 

I know what you mean about the ads and the micro transactions. I have played Simpsons Tapped Out and Family Guy The Quest for Stuff and just got sick of the 'buy in game currency to get this...' attitude. It is just a money making scheme for most game developers.

 

Supercell are different where they want to create good games which in turn leads to people spending money in the game which earns them a lot of profit. They have 2 games they have released worldwide but have developed about 15 to beta stage but dropped them.

 

They do an update in the game every month and a big 'game changer' update every 3 months or so. They are focusing on improving the game instead of churning out poorer quality games to cash in.

The dark spells are pretty good but the major issue I have is that the poison spell means that everyone just used dragons in their CC, which are a pain to kill and poison has little effect on them. It's made the wars more predictable I think, although saying that, the poison spell is great outside of wars. I haven't got the haste spell yet but as I use balloon attacks, I'm thinking it'd be a great help.

I think the poison spell is most useful. Haste is just a half powered rage spell IMO. You get a bit more speed from haste but no power boost.

 

What do you think the next hero will be?

 

Ended up having to gem my spell factory as mid way through a war and i needed to hit. We lost so that was a waste of gems. Dammit.

 

Iv switched back to loonian for raiding. High cost but the loots are out there at the moment with the resource boost.

TH9 is really hard. The upgrade costs are unreal.

 

I have got my queen to lvl 4 so far and about 6k dark off of lvl 5.

 

Been using goblins with barch on raiding with 4 earthquake spells to deal with walls recently. Been working out quite well.

Latest update is out and we have lvl 7 lightning and a rework of the spells. Also a few tweeks to the Lava hound and a new look for lvl 11 walls. Thoughts? I love the new walls but the iriitance for me is there wasnt anything for th8 and below.

 

Apparently there will be a HUGE announcement at ClashCon in October. Anyone have any thoughts on what it might be?

I don't think it's big enough to be just town hall 11, I think there'll be something to go along with it. I'd guess it'll be another feature, similar to when clan wars were added, but I've not got a clue what it'll be. I've hearn a rumour about clan tournaments but I don't think that'd be huge and it's probably just a nonsense rumour.

 

Town hall 11 is very likely though, I think. I'd guess new troops and maybe new dark spells as well. ClashCon is big for Supercell so they won't want to disappoint with this reveal.

Also bear in mind this is the first clash con EVER and they will want to commemorate that with a huge game changer.

 

I personally think TH11 wont happen. Only something like 0.3% of players have a max TH10 and the loot penalty will destroy anyone going to TH11. If we do get it though I can see them adding another level for a lot of troops and maybe one or 2 new dark troops.

 

Clan tournements could be coming a lot of people have been talking about it.

 

My clan have been on a 5 war losing streak recently and I have been trying to figure out why. Turns out my clan are way to defensively powerful and our troops are weak as hell in comparison. Hence we get tough wars.

So Clashcon is tomorrow and the speculation is getting intense about what the update will inlcude. We got the Halloween update which give us a nice little cauldron as a decoration. I have one on both my accounts now. In good places as well so I can keep them. Happy Yoda :-) There is also a 1 gem boost for both spell factories but it only lasts for 2 hours a time.

 

My clan finally won a war!!! Hazaar!! I used my 1st lavaloonian so watch something happen to those troops at clashcon.....

2 new dark troops

Additional levels for witch & lava hound

New collector level

New hero

DE storage (either addition or new level)

5 or 10 new levels for current heroes.

Whats peoples thoughts on the upgrade? Is it the death of farming? I am enjoying it so far. Freeze spell at th9 is kinda fun but also kinda pointless as its so short a time at lvl 1. Only 2 new troop levels although witches lvl 3 are killing it at the moment.

 

I am currently th9 with lvl 11 king, lvl 10 queen all elixer troops are maxed lightning and healing spell need 1 more lvl, dark spells all need 1 more lvl, minions and hogs maxed everything else is th8 lvl, witches and lava hound all lvl 1.

 

All elixer upgrades are done except 2 barracks that I just cant be bothered to do. All mortars are maxed, everything else is th8 lvl. Traps are all maxed except the black balloons. I am pushing all gold into getting skull walls and now elixer is going into lego walls. I currently have 6 or 7 lego walls.
