The movie is out for a while, but there is not much buzz here and among my friends. I finally got the chance to see it yesterday. I couldn't help but to compare it to Thor: Ragnarok since that was the last one I watched and they belong to competing universes.

Dry is the word I choose for this movie.

One of the most boring villain ever for the last few movies I've watched and he went down so fast once Superman kicked his butt. His demise was quite interesting, but I wouldn't really call that 'death' and it didn't make him more interesting. The overall tone is pretty gloomy, so I'm very thankful for Barry Allen's cheerful (or borderline hyperactive) persona. Gal Gadot's Diana Prince is also pretty solid. Other than that, nothing impressive.

I'm quite disappointed, honestly.

Interestingly, this movie has a 7.7/10 rating on idmb. In the past, I have been the person that enjoys movies that other people dislike so this is definitely going to be in my 'to-watch' list.
I was sure hoping this movie was pretty good but after reading this review, I am not hyped to watch it. I am a fan of all that is comic book related however, some of the stuff I've seen doesn't do much for me.

Let us know what you think of it once you've seen it. I hope my comments didn't prevent you from enjoying the movie.

I'd say that it's probably better for you to start watching with low expectations. That way you won't get burned too much, lol. The movie is not that bad. It's not a trash. I just didn't think it wore the crown of the title and the ensemble of characters good enough. I can only hope that the sequel will do better than this.

Not at all @North. I find discussions about movies to be very intriguing but that has never stopped me from watching anything, upon its release. What I avoid are posts that give an account of every scene.

The more I come across discussions about this movie, the more I realize that gathering popular heroes in a movie set, doesn't necessarily mean that a there will be an instant hit. It pulled up a mere $94 million in its opening weekend, which by all means, was disappointing.

Absolutely. The real crime is to put so many of them at one time and not giving them the plot they deserve. I should've known better. It also seems that DC characters are generally more serious than Marvel's, so maybe that translates into less action and more low-key beats. For superhero movies, that may not be ideal.
