Do you ever watch TV shows just for their snark value? I'm a fan of reality TV and this genre lends itself perfectly to hate-watching. I'm currently into any of the TLC shows involving the Duggar clan, large broods, and next level hypocrisy. Sister Wives is pretty darn good too. Kody with his vanity and ever receding hairline, Meri getting catfished and selling LuLaRoe - there's plenty to mock. Which shows do you hate-watch?

TLC is THE network for hate-watching. They were the masters that brought Toddlers and Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo to the masses. I don't think anything can top those two for the least amount of class.
Reality shows are the best for hate-watching. I've never watched Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, @DandyMandy. I couldn't even stomach the few snippets I've seen. All of the Real Housewives shows are pretty awful, but they're easy to binge because of all that snark. I love watching America's Next Top Model for all of the snarkiness. Honestly though that one isn't really a hate-watch show. I actually enjoy it for other reasons.
I'd rather spend my time watching a show I actually like, than basking in the negativity of subjecting myself to something I hate
There are so many shows out there that I love. There are a lot of shows on my to-watch list, too. With all of the great shows out there, I just don't have enough time to bother with things that I don't enjoy. I get it though, really. There are some things that make my blood boil yet are still entertaining on some level.
That's fair, Zack. The shows I typically subject myself to aren't ones that I dislike. There does seem to be something amiss about watching something mainly because I enjoy making fun of it. On the other hand TV is all about entertainment at the end of the day, is it not?

"Hate" is a loose term here. I always start watching a reality show because I enjoy it. However, as time goes, things usually take a turn a season or two later - personalities change, shows experience a cast shake up, producers start giving someone else the bad edit, cast members start to act differently because they're more aware of the camera, or someone makes the news for bad behavior. It's all about the snark.

Heck, competitions are great for hate-watching too. The competition starts off with amazing competitors but someone gets too cocky, or a judge gets rid of a fan favorite, and there's all sorts of conspiracy theories that abound.
