I remember seeing the trailer for Action Point some time ago but then completely forgot about it. I used to love Jackass (the series and the films) and I'd love to see the guys all together again. I can't believe they're still pulling these kinds of stunts at their ages. It looks like it could be a lot of fun but it also looks like it has the potential to be a huge disappointment too.

Unlike the three Jackass films, Action Point doesn't appear as though it got much media buzz, positive or negative. It's sort of slipped through the cracks, like Bad Grandpa. Have any of you seen it? What did you think? I'm debating whether it's worth spending the money to go see it at the cinema (because there's still one playing it near me) or if I should just wait and rent it.

If you want to go see it, go see it. Don't let reviews or what the industry does in terms of marketing it deter you from what YOU want to do.
It definitely didn't rival the first three Jackass movies but it was still entertaining. Don't go in expecting the moon and you'll be fine. I think that anyone who loves the guys of Jackass will at least like the movie for its nostalgiac elements. Like any Jackass movie, it's a lot of fun on the big screen. You should go out and see it.

@Classified, I was just wondering if anyone thought it was worth spending the money to see it at the cinema rather than waiting and watching it at home. I try not to let the critics deter me but sometimes they do get the best of me. I still haven't seen Mother! because of all the awful reviews I read.

@Hal, thanks for the advice. You're right that their films usually are better on the big screen! Bad Grandpa is the exception to that. I should've known it wouldn't fall in the same category as that one though given the trailer. It looks like it has more in common with the originals, albeit with a plot.

Well, in my opinion, the only movie worth seeing at the theatre was Avatar. Movies cost way too much and the price isn't justified.

A movie like this one.......I would wait.

Haha, fair enough, @Classified. I think some films are worth seeing at the cinema, typically ones that involve a lot of action, like Star Wars. I really enjoyed seeing Jackass 3 on the big screen, but it didn't really add anything to the other two. You're right though, it's typically too expensive to be worth it for most movies.

I'm going to wait. I think I've missed my opportunity anyways.

There was a movie made back in 1987 called "Come and See" https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/great-movie-come-and-see-1985

They say that after the initial showing in Russia, (It was a Russian made film) no one in the theatre made a sound because the realism was so unsettling. Everything I hear about that movie is good. So good in fact that if they were to ever put that one back on the silver screen, I would be there.
