Is anyone else really excited for the new Sabrina series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, that's coming out on Netflix? It's from the makers of Riverdale (unsurprisingly) and I think it looks fantastic. I love that they're putting a darker spin on it to help it stand out from Melissa Joan Hart's series. I wonder if they'll be doing any crossovers between this show and Riverdale.

I am and I'll be yelling about it soon over on Cult. I don't think there will be a crossover any time soon, since the shows ended up being at two different properties and TPTB have said that they want them to establish their own separate identities for now.
Ha, I look forward to seeing your yellings over there. Ah, I didn't know that they were filmed at two different properties. It makes sense for them to want to establish their own identities before doing any crossovers though. Honestly, I'm kind of glad to hear that. I was worried that it might play into the plot for the upcoming season of Riverdale.
Yeah, I'd like them to be separate for a bit, too. I'm not sure how they'd blend the supernatural into Riverdale, but they may be working up to that with the CULT!!! that's coming.

@Salome G, I was a bit worried they might be trying to tie that into the cult.

But, most intriguingly of all, the creator told fans to look back at episode seven of season 2 for the best indication of the forthcoming series.

The January instalment broke convention and opened with messages stating the events featured in Riverdale had occurred in the past - a point emphasised by Archie's narration.

Add to that the appearance of Farmer McGinty, a mysterious stranger who listens to religious radio stations claiming Black Hood is doing the Lord's work, and the possibility for time-bending supernatural elements becomes a real possibility.

Unlikely? This is Riverdale.

The more I think about it - now that I know Sabrina won't be involved - it sounds like it's just going to be about hardcore religious people. Maybe they believe in the supernatural or something.

I'm not sure how they would either @Salome G, but I'm beyond putting anything past them. They sort of hinted at it in the last season with all of the Greendale stuff. I'm guessing it would be more like Ravenswood in Pretty Little Liars.

That could be it, @Maya.
