Well it was finally decided sunday, West Ham became the 3rd and final team to be relegated from the 2002/03 premiership. I know that due to this, we are going to be selling players left right and centre, including Jermaine Defoe, Freddie Kanoute, Joe Cole etc. West ham have a lot of talented players but with the coming exodus we may be left with a basic team who may not even survive division one which could mean hell for the club. I hope that we can keep it together and be back in the premiership for 04/05, what do you reckon?

I think West Ham will be back but it is gonna be hard to keep their good players - I see Defoe put in a written transfer request this afternoon.

Yeah defoe didn't waste much time did he! It's a shame for the Hammers they're a good side with a great set of fans, i hope they come back up quickly :)

I'd like to see West Ham come straight back, I was rooting for them yesterday over the Bolton Mercenaries. It's unfortunate that so many players will need to be sold, James, Defoe, Cole & Kanoute will all definately go, but with the miney raised from the sale of those players a team worthy of winning Div 1 should be built.

I was dissapointed to see West Ham to go down they are far too good for division 1 I think and I reckon they will get back up pretty quickly players I would bet on leaving are James Di Canio Defoe Kanoute Bowyer and Sinclair

Are you kidding me??! Apart from Chelsea fans (eho are all scum) West Ham fans are the worst I've ever met. They're just nasty, horrible, mostly anti semitic people. They're shite.

i was hoping they might have stayed up..if they only sell 3 or 4 players, like di canio, james, cole defoe, and bring in 2 or 3 players, they can easily come straight back up..i mean look what leciester have done...

I know West Ham fans do have a bad reputation, but the majority ive met through their website are really great people. Theres been countless times when i've needed info regarding UK wrestling shows in their area and they have gone out of their way to help me, sending me maps, links all sorts of things, even though they know i'm a City fan. Obviously theres a minority of fans who do behave badly, maybe i'm just fortunate in who ive met.

Apparantly Cole and Carrick both want to stay, which is great for them, but I'd imagine Di Canio, James and Defoe will all go, and Kanoute.

I think Di Canio was one of about 10 who got released today by West Ham.
