Guest Alan
I see that they have saw fit to use another wrestlers "catchphrase" other than the Rocks. At least "Here comes the pain" is a better title then "Shut your mouth".
Guest Cactus Jack
All looks good! Can I just ask, did I make this up, or was earning money meant to be SD4?

Guest Peter
I'm anxious to see how they use blood in the game, since they have said there will be first blood match type options. It will also be interesting to see how they handle the Elimination Chamber. All in all, looks good.

Guest The Crippler
The blood thing sounds interesting. I wonder if blood will only be in the First Blood matches or if blood will be in all of the matches.
Guest FTW
The Elimination Chamber should be cool if pulled off correctly. I really hope they use that every year at the Survivor Series. I hope that 'Here Comes The Pain' is a step up from the last two WWE PS2 games. I really do think that it is about time that they used a new game engine. It would take alot of time to engineer and set that back quite a bit, but in the long run I think it would be alot better. Also I really hope that there is a multi-player season mode avialable. Is it just me or has the best season mode yet been the very first Smackdown! on the PSX!? Without the crappy storylines which havent improved the game that much, it allowed multi-player and if you had a title you defended it in various types of matches, not just singles matches all the time. Guest Cactus Jack
I'm I the only one that believes a current SD gameplay mixed with the reversal method in LOW1 be decent?
Guest Sting
Hey this is Sting. I just heard about Smackdown 5: Here comes the Pain. So when is it's release date? I think it will be a big hit.
Guest Alan
They have projected it for late this year/early next. However as you well know with games makers they like to delay games for months at a time.

The rush is very lucrative for THQ - means money.
Guest Walshy
SD5 woud be great if it wasn't on the PS2, they need the PS3 and soon, the PS2 looks terrible now, I can't believe it was once considored a match for a PC. Anyway the game sounds pretty cool, the strenght thing should be interesting, there goes the days of Spike Dudley picking up the Big Show :cry , I think that the game is going in the right direction, they need to build up wrestler personality more (for custom player) and they need to put teeth in the game this time. The season mode should be good, so long as I don't have that stupid Maven following me through the season all the time!!! Looks good, I shall definatly play it! Guest Seabass
the PS 2 was a match for the PC,...till new £d cards and Processors came out... if SD5 Uses the reversal systom LOD uses, then i'm gonna be bit disappointed as i liked the one in SD4 (that's becuase it was easy to do reversals...but it did make for some funny and wesome mutliplayer battles). Guest The B-Man
The game sounds good but again wouldnt get my hopes up at all.. Every smackdown game up to now has been far too easy to win matches in..
Guest El Selecta
I'd be quite happy with SD4 with more moves in specificaly Cradel Piledriver, Ki Krusher and Pheonix Splash. More use of weapons i.e. powerbomb and piledriver onto chairs. More Kendo sticks. It'll be out for christmas. Same thing has happened for the last 2 years. Early summer anouncement and release a couple of weeks before Christmas. I'd be shocked if anything else happens. I'm just waiting for the fifth incarnation of 'El Bastardo'. Guest Simon
Woah..... yeh yeh, SD5 sounds class and all.... bar what a few people have already pointed out about the actual WWE writers using their own horrible angles, but am I the only guy who still finds SD4 fun to play from time to time? I don't think there is too much wrong with SD4s control system, and there are a hell of a lot of things I wouldn't change about the game. Infact if it was just me, and it isn't (just as well cause this idea wouldnt make any money), I'd just update everything that needs updating (roster, arenas etc) and work on getting a playable multiplayer career mode where the belts change hands etc such as they had in SD2. Only better :)
Guest Seabass
remember the one-player mode in No Mercy for the N64...well i'd add that as a sceanrio mode for SD5 were you can unlock even more goodies.
