This is what happened after Raw this week following, the HHH v Flair match, and something of which I think deserves mentioning.

"After the camera stopped rolling, it looked as if everyone was heading to the back. Triple H made his way back. Nash and Flair where in the ring when HBK’s music hit and he came down to the ring with quiet a few RAW superstars. They all came in the ring and started honoring Ric Flair. Tommy Dreamer and Bubba Dudley put Flair on their shoulders. Austin was handing beers to everyone. After HBK’s music stopped. Stephanie McMahon’s music hit and she came to the ring. Then Shane McMahon’s and finally capping off with Vince McMahon’s music. They all came to the ring and honored Flair. The crowd was confused to what was going on. Finally, Triple H’s music hit and he came to the ring. Triple H completely broke character; put the title belt on Flair, and gave him a hug. The crowd was going crazy, even though we had no idea what was going on. Austin got the mic and said they want a speech because the crowd was chanting speech. The ring cleared and many stars stayed at the top of the ramp as Flair began to talk. Flair talked about how his career started in the Carolinas and went to say that tonight was his last match ever. Flair was really emotional and began to cry. He thanked everyone in the crowd and everyone in the back. Lillian thanked us for coming and goodnight."

It's often said a lot, how WWE mess up a lot of things, and how true legends never get the respect or recognition or even send off that they deserve. However after reading that, it's really refreshing to know how they've acknowledged Ric Flair's whole career, and let him be the hero and star in his home state. Hate off to them.

For sure within a few months it'll be on Confidential - it is hard to not to hide Ric Flair's retirement really.

Nice to see WWE make Flair the hero of the hour in his home town I would have liked to have seen that

Thats a great thing to hear, sounds like he had a great send off (from wrestling actual matches anyway)

Top gesture by WWE, and I think that the reason that he got a good send off was because of his links with *gasp* Triple H, so his vulgar abuse of power isn't all bad.

But this isn't about HHH, this is about the best worker ever to come out of America. Flair is a legend in the world of wrestling, and there's never been anyone like him, and I doubt that anyone will ever surpass him in terms of success, drawing power and talent.

The fact that he chose to fight HHH kinda sounds to me like it could be the breakup of the duo, which may lead to Flair being off TV for a while.

Let's hope he's back on our screens soon, stylin' and profilin'. Maybe the best US wrestler of all time could become the best manager of all time?

This one's for you Naitch.

Whoo!

Strange as it may sound, I'd rather he just left WWE TV altogether now, maybe becoming a Road Agent instead. Anything so long as his career isn't tarnished by being HHH's manager. He doesn't deserve to be beaten up as a 'message to HHH', be the one to be his lackey, and partake in HHH's numerous ridiculous angles.
